Do it like Kourtney and get over a break-up with these brilliant hacks

Break-ups are the worst. Whether you lost someone you truly cared about, or got dumped out of the blue; every situation is a horrible one.

And it's OK to feel down about it; getting over a break-up isn't easy but with these pro-active tips, you might find the transition that little bit smoother.

1. Give yourself permission to be a mess, but only for a specific amount of time

Women are hard on themselves post break-up. You will be sad and angry and emotional. And you should be. You can't be a mess forever though, so set an end-date and take time to be emotional and messy if you need it.

2. Unfollow your ex EVERYWHERE

There are many schools of thought on this one, but by and large, looking at images of your ex having a great time/out with other girls/not being a miserable pile of tears will probably annoy the hell out of you.

Unfollow their friends and family too, because you know you're ex will pop up somewhere on their pages. Did you really like his mother anyway?!

3. Don't forget to double delete him on your phone

You deleted their number from your phone, but if you go to messages and start typing the first letter of his name and his number will still pop up. NO!

But don't worry, there's a handy hack for that! Just see above.

4. Get your own Netflix account

This is important if you've been with you ex for a long time and shared a Netflix account, Tesco membership cards, Spotify, etc. It's great busy work to keep you occupied and also feels oddly empowering.

5. Look FABULOUS

We know you feel like curling up into your blanket everyday, but have you seen Kourtney Kardashian lately?! She is not letting anything get her down and looks oh-so-hot while doing so. We don't think she has ever looked better and she is certainly not letting her break-up get the better of her.
