Hunting down a bargain in Ikea is part and parcel of moving house or redecorating a room.

Whether it's a snazzy throw pillow you need or a while fitted kitchen, the Swedish furniture behemoth brings on-trend interiors to suit all budgets.

The brand already has two locations in Dublin (one full-on store, one click and collect) and now their looking outside of the capital for their next location.

They also have a store in Belfast. Carrigtwohill in East Cork is set to be the new location of a full retail store.

The new store will bring up to 500 jobs to the local area, according to sources who spoke to The Irish Examiner.

Ikea opened in Ballymun, Dublin in 2009 and has been trading successfully in the Irish market.

They also recently launched an online store in Ireland, where shoppers can order their furniture online.
