Bridget Trump’s Diary is the MOST hilarious parody account ever

by

Donald Trump definitely loves Twitter, and if Bridget Jones was set in a slightly more modern era, she may have been that social media oversharer we all know.

So combining the two personalities is a work of complete genius on the part of the creator of the Bridget Trump's Diary Twitter page.

The Twitter parody imagines what Bridget Jones' diary would sound like if it had been written by a Trump-Jones hybrid (presumably both would have fake tan disasters).

The page is the brain child of London stand-up comedian Tiff Stevenson, who started the page after reading a Trump tweet that reminded her of Renée Zellweger's most famous role.

"There are so many parallels between Bridget and Donald. They are both utterly consumed with how other people see them and they are constantly chasing after the wrong guy," Tiff told Mashable.

"They share a love of words and exclamation marks too, such as vile!, tremendous!, media!, winning!, stupid!, weak!, smart!, loser!, love!."

"It's remarkable how little you have to change," she said.

The page is adding an injection of humour in the final days before Trump's inauguration, as he officially takes his place as president of the US.

We'll be eschewing our invite to the inauguration ball and curling up with all three Bridget Jones movies that night.
