BREAKING: Gunmen hold ten people hostage at a Paris Primark

Breaking news from AFP confirms that gunmen are holding up a Primark store near Paris.

There are reportedly ten people trapped inside. 

The Primark store (Penneys operates as Primark outside of Ireland) is located at Villeneuve-la-Garenne in the north-west of the city.

Local sources have told news agencies that the men entered the building at around 6.30am local time (5.30am Irish time).

Police have unofficially said they think the incident is "an attempt at armed robbery," but that the situation is developing. Elite forces have now been sent to the area.
