Avoid the M50: Multiple lanes closed after two separate incidents

If you're about to travel home, avoid the M50 at all costs.

On a good day it's like a car park, but this evening, two separate incidents have taken place, blocking several lanes on the motorway.

On the M50 Northbound, traffic is down to one lane following a car crash.

The collision happened just after the J6 Blanchardstown turn off. Major delays have also been reported as tailbacks occur towards the J7 Lucan turn-off and J9 Red Cow turn-off.

Meanwhile, traffic is also slow on the M1, after a truck lost its load.

According to M50 Dublin Traffic Twitter account, "A truck has shed it's load southbound between J5 Balbriggan and J4 Donabate blocking the middle lane.

"Emergency services on route. Caution advised."

There are also reports of train services being delayed through Connolly Station after a truck ran into Amein's Street Bridge.

Be careful out there.
