YouTube has launched a kids only version and we’re all kinda jealous

by

YouTube is great, but sometimes unnecessary videos show up on your homepage that you wish you could just get rid off.

Yes, we can select our preferences but all in all, we wish something could just be solely dedicated to us, right?

Well, children are now getting that privilege as YouTube has just launched a kids version in Ireland.

The YouTube Kids app launched nine months ago in America and after major success, it is being unveiled in Ireland and the UK today.

The app, which has programmes specifically targeting pre-school and primary school students, divides videos into four handy categories: shows, music, learning and explore.

The shows come from the likes of Peppa Pig and National Geographic Kids, and it will also feature videos by Irish authors such as Scott Swetak and his Mad About Lego channel.

It also comes with a really easy interface to use and youngsters will be able to search for videos using their voice.

We don't know about you, but we'd love something so easy and handy to watch our favourite videos on. We're sure parents are gong to be delighted with this one!
