The queues were CRAY outside this new salad bar in Dublin today

We all know that the modern Irish person is relatively health conscious and we all know that we love our food, so when a new restaurant or deli opens up there tends to be a bit of a furore.

Well not only a furore but a very long queue developed outside of the new Chopped premises which opened at the top of Grafton Street (opposite Trinity College) today.

Chopped is an Irish owned healthy eatery offering customers a selection of healthy salads and sandwiches at VERY reasonable prices.

It has several stores across the capital including on Baggot Street and in Ballsbridge.

And since the new premises on Grafton Street was offering FREE salads up until 1pm, we guess we would probably hop in the queue too.

But if you missed out on the free salads earlier on, to celebrate their opening they are offering half price salads for the rest of the day so if you have some spare time, it's well worth the wait.
