The first video from Ed Sheeran’s record label has us in floods of tears

Ed Sheeran has been teasing news of his new record label for months now, and it was finally launched yesterday.

The first artist to be signed by Gingerbread Man Records is English singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson, and it seems like Ed is definitely on to something special. Irish fans will know Jamie for his 2011 single, Wasn't Expecting That, a highly emotional song about a man looking back on many beautiful memories with his wife after she is diagnosed with cancer.

Jamie's single only ever had an Irish release, but this year it was re-launched, and has had great commercial success in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The singer has supported Ed on stage during his X World Tour, giving fans a taster of what they can expect from his album, Jamie Lawson, set to be released on October 9th.

Today Ed announced the release of the official video for Wasn't Expecting That, and it has us reaching for the tissues. Take a look:

We reckon Gingerbread Man Records (and Jamie) are going to do very well indeed.
