As celebrity children on the catwalk is making a major scene at the moment, it's only fitting that Hailey Baldwin's older sister Alaia has started to make her run in the industry.

The model has signed on with State Management, a modelling agency that only launched at the start of New York Fashion Week in September.

According to ASOS Magazine, Alaia previously worked with Major Models, although she hasn't yet hit the same level of celeb-status like her sister.

With State Management trying to establish it's own credibility, we'd guess Ms Baldwin is trying to make her move up too.

The new agency was founded by the super-power that is IMG, and it's marketing itself around representing men and women with strong personalities and the potential to be role models – an obvious angle in the era of social media giving models the opportunity to pull back closed curtains and speak their mind.

"We found Alaia to be extremely down to earth, and we believe she is a person that is relatable to all generations — a rare quality that is not always easy to find," said founder Wilhelmina vet Rene Gonzalez.

With short, shaggy hair and bangs, Alaia has a slightly edgier vibe than the Kendall's and Gigi's of the catwalk. And while we're not saying she's going to snap up a Dolce and Gabbana exclusive immediately, she's definitely going to be one to watch.
