Dublin Zoo is evidently encouraging the nation to collectively utter an audible "ooh" and "aah": because it has now released images of its three unbelievably adorable red ruffed lemur newborns.

The Zoo is already home to four of the cute-as-a-button primates, but these loveable fur babies are pretty much the icing on the cake when it comes to can't-stop-staring cuteness.

The team at Dublin Zoo is undoubtedly delighted with the new arrivals as the species is currently under threat.

The organisation's Ciaran McMahon explained: “Red ruffed lemurs are one of the most endangered of all lemurs.

"The birth of three babies at Dublin Zoo is hugely significant and definitely something to celebrate.

"We are delighted to report that our new arrivals are strong and healthy and are nosily exploring their habitat on red ruffed lemur island."

So, helping increase the population of endangered species while also indulging in hours of cuteness is a sure way to get bring on that Friday feeling a little earlier.

To see the new-born red ruffed lemur babies venture out into their new habitat for the very first time, tune in to The Zoo this evening at 7pm on RTÉ One.
