No Irish wedding? Courteney Cox said to be ‘miserable’ after break-up

It's set to be the Irish celebrity wedding of 2016, but it looks like Courteney Cox's nuptials to Johnny McDaid might be off the cards.

The Friends actress is said to be single again after her Snow Patrol rocker fiancé suddenly "decided" he wanted to end things.

According to Hollywood Life, Johnny has even reportedly moved out of Courteney's Malibu mansion, where he had been living full-time with her and her daughter, 11-year-old Coco.

"They [Courteney and Johnny] were going to counselling because they were having issues and fighting a lot, about everything," an insider alleges.

"He just decided he wanted to separate. He hasn’t really given a reason, but mainly said he wants to focus on his music and can’t take the fighting."

It's true that Johnny has indeed been giving music a lot of attention of late, as he's been back in the studio with his Snow Patrol bandmates to record their seventh album. The Northern Irish rockers took some time in Topanga Canyon at the end of October to lay down tracks with Irish producer Jacknife Lee.

As for Courteney, she is reportedly struggling to stay positive about things after the unexpected split.

"She is really depressed about it…extremely upset. She truly is just miserable about it," the insider says.

The pair were due to marry at the luxurious Ashford Castle in Cong Co. Mayo, although no wedding date had been officially set, with the actress saying things were still in the "planning" stages.

Courtney was apparently very taken with the five-star hotel when she and Johnny visited it as a possible wedding venue in August 2014.

"Johnny took Courteney to Ireland to meet his family and they fell in love with Ashford Castle," a source told The Sun at the time.

"They want to get married there… and have a big bash in LA on a Malibu beach afterwards."

The couple, who were introduced by singer Ed Sheeran, got engaged last summer during a birthday party for the actress' daughter Coco, held at Jennifer Aniston's house.
