Negative space makeup is 2017’s hottest trend, and we kind of love it

It's a new year, which means we will be facing countless new beauty trends over the next 12 months.

2017 has started off with a serious bang, and we have negative space makeup to thank for that.

Eye details for my @lucinda212 inspired look  I used #milanicosmetics Secret Cover Concealer (shade 'Natural Beige') for the negative spaces. It's my favorite for things like this!  Brows are #anastasiabeverlyhills Dipbrow in 'Ebony' topped with #nyx Crystal Liner in 'Crystal Pink'  I used the #toofaced Peach Palette- 'Candied Peach' on the lid, 'Summer Yum' in the crease and lower lash line, 'Nectar' in the inner corner, and 'Georgia' as a blending shade  #lorac 'Jet Black' on the lid and 'Chocolate' in the crease  #urbandecay 'Savage' eyeshadow in the lower lash line, glitter liner in 'Junkshow' on the lid, 24/7 Lip Pencil in 'Ladyflower' in the waterline, and 24/7 liquid liner in 'Woodstock' for the wing  #napoleonperdis 'Amazon Jungle' Color Disc as a blending shade and NYX Roll On Shimmer in 'Salmon' in the center of the lid  pink rhinestones and caviar beads  lashes are #ardell Wispies No. 601  #childoftheuniverse #beauty #beautyblogger #lucinda212 #makeupartist #mua #makeupaddict #nyxcosmetics #eotd #eyemakeup #undiscovered_muas #makeupartistsworldwide #makeup #negativespacemakeup #glam #glammakeup

The process of negative spacing involves leaving certain areas of your face (usually eyes or lips) totally free of makeup, or a completely different colour.

The look is achieved by strategically using Sellotape, to create a lined pattern.

This trend originated as nail art, but has since made its way from hands to face… and we are so happy about it!

When in doubt, wing it out. #tattooliner
