Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber split after 11 years together
Just a week after the shocking announcement that Angelina Jolie is filing for divorce from Brad Pitt, yet another Hollywood couple has called time on their relationship.
Actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have confirmed that they are to split, after 11 years together.
The couple, who began dating back in 2005, have two children: nine-year-old Alexander, and seven-year-old Samuel.
They announced the sad news in a statement last night, which read: “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.”
“It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship,” they added.
They went on to appeal for privacy for their two children, saying: “While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”
Fans of the couple have been left blindsided by the split, with X-Men star Liev only gushing about his long-term partner on Instagram three weeks ago.
