‘Involved in a plane crash’: Made In Chelsea crew ‘in serious incident’

The Made In Chelsea cast and crew have had to abandon filming a special in Costa Rica due to a plane crash.

The small aircraft was carrying four members of the crew – two senior producers and two technical directors – when it plunged into the Pacific Ocean yesterday around 6pm.

Thankfully, the coast guard rescued the crew and pilot and nobody was seriously harmed in the crash.

The rest of the cast and crew were being flown over on a separate plane, however due to the incident, they are being brought back to to the UK "as soon as possible."

A spokesperson for the show said: "Four of our production team on Made In Chelsea, produced by Monkey Kingdom, were involved in a plane crash earlier today in a resort in Costa Rica.

"We can confirm that all four people and the pilot are safe and unhurt. No cast were onboard.

"We are grateful to the emergency services in Costa Rica for their assistance in this serious incident. We have taken immediate steps to ensure those involved have every support locally and out priority is to return all cast and crew home."

What a scary thing to happen!
