Garry Barlow pens hilarious song in honour of his 50th birthday

Everyone’s favourite gooey, chocolatey egg isn’t the only icon turning 50 this year, one of the best loved music stars Gary Barlow is too. 

To mark their landmark birthdays, Gary and Cadbury Creme Egg have teamed up to officially launch the Golden Goobilee celebrations – and fans are in for an exciting surprise. 

The iconic singer-songwriter has created an exclusive Golden Goobilee gift for all Cadbury Creme Egg fans – a unique composition of Happy Birthday entitled Happy Birthday to Goo! In the playful video, Gary performs the sweet melody to serenade the delicious chocolate egg – dressed in his finest golden celebratory suit, while sat in his signature spot in front of a piano.

Commenting on this significant birthday, Garry said, “Turning 50 is a landmark moment in everyone’s life and I am so excited that I share my special day with such an important icon, my favourite chocolate gooey egg! It has been my honour to pen this new and improved version of Happy Birthday to You, and kick off the Golden Goobilee celebrations in style.” 

The Golden Goobilee celebrations don’t end there – Cadbury Creme Egg lovers will also be given the chance to receive a personalised birthday message from Gary himself by entering a competition on the @GaryBarlow Twitter page.
