‘Crying when I said yes’: Wedding bells for singer Natasha Hamilton

Boyband meets girlband!

The ultimate pop pairing are now set to be husband and wife, as Natasha Hamilton and Ritchie Neville confirm they're engaged.

Though the proposal happened a few weeks ago, the couple waited to share their news via OK! magazine today, before revealing it themselves on Twitter.

"So…..our news is now out! @RitchieNeville asked me to Marry Him," Natasha wrote.

"I was shaking when I proposed," former 5ive star Ritchie said of the happy moment, which happened during a romantic trip to Rome.

Natasha admitted she was equally emotional when saying "yes", telling OK! the couple were both "sobbing" with happiness.

"He couldn't have picked a more perfect ring," she said.

Natasha split from businessman Riad Erraji in 2013 after eight years of marriage. The former couple have one child together, five-year-old Alfie.

Aside from Alfie, the singer has three other children – 13-year-old Josh and 11-year-old Harry from previous relationships, and one-year-old Ella with her now-fiancé Ritchie.

Speaking about marriage plans last year, Natasha revealed she had thought about walking up with aisle with Ritchie.

"We have talked about it a lot, I know what kind of wedding I want and we both agree that we want to wait," she said. 

"We want Ella to be a flower girl and have some kind of memory of the day her parents get married."
