Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are the inspiration for a TV series

The love story that is Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s daily life is soon to be immortalised for all generations to come in their very own sitcom.

The married couple, and genetically blessed dup captured the hearts of the whole internet with their half (and sometimes fully) naked selfies and witty one-liners (although that’s mostly Chrissy but whatever).

Creator of the hugely successful American sitcom Blackish, Kenya Barris just signed a three-year contract with ABC Studios to develop some new projects. Buzzfeed News reports that his first sitcome is to be loosely based on the relationship between a Grammy winning artist and his Sports Illustrated supermodel wife.

“It’s inspired by them — they’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them and everything they stand for,” Kenya explained, before adding: “I’m really excited about it.”

Well, we would be too.

The series is in the very early stages of planning as of now, but Kenya did confirm that it will be about an interracial couple. What would a series such as this be named?

Apparently one possible title is Ordinary People. Kenya said explained: “I feel that song serves a thematic background for the show.”

John’s song won a Grammy in 2004 and creator Kenya says that while the title may be something of John’s making, he finds both Chrissy and John inspiring.

“They’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them.”

We are too, Kenya, we are too. We have one burning question though: Who will be ask to portray these two on the small screen? Oh, and another, will their dogs wedding be a series finale?

We look forward to finding out.
