Al Porter to present Blind Date reboot and he wants to set you up

Move over Cilla Black, there's a new matchmaker in town.

Comedian and Today FM host, Al Porter is on board to present the new series of Blind Date, set to hit Irish television screens this autumn.  

TV3 made the announcement this afternoon and Al is said to be "beyond delighted" about the new role. 

According to independent.ie, he said, "[I] leaped at the chance to do it!"

"I remember watching shows like Blind Date with Cilla as my Mam ironed and my Nana laughed and it doing just that – cheering us all up!”

''Blind Date on TV3 will be broad fun, family entertainment! …Now, to practice saying "what's your name, where do you come from?!''

But that's not all.

TV3 are looking for Ireland's most eligible singletons to take part.
