Zendaya reacts in the BEST way after seeing her Photoshopped pics

Many stars turn to Photoshop to slim down their curves, but not Zendaya.

The 19-year-old knows she should be promoting a positive body image to her young fans – which means taking a stand against excessive editing of her images.

After photos from her recent Modeliste cover shoot were published on the magazine's site yesterday, the singer noticed that one picture in particular showed a drastically slimmed-down version of her hips and thighs.

She took to Instagram to address the issue and show fans the "real" her, but not before ensuring the offending image had been removed from Modeliste's site.

"Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated," Zendaya wrote on Instagram this morning.

In the retouched photo seen on the left, both of Zendaya's thighs have been airbrushed down, and her waist size has also been noticeably decreased.

"These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have," the young star continued.

"Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love.

"So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it. Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue."

This isn't the first time Zendaya has spoken out in favour of natural beauty, of course.

Back in February, she took to Twitter to slam the Fashion Police hosts for mocking her red-carpet dreadlocks – a scandal which led Kelly Osbourne to quit the show and Giuliana Rancic to issue a public apology.

The moral of the story? Don't mess with Zendaya.
