Tributes have been pouring in for Ramona Fagan, the Irish woman who tragically died in Tenerife yesterday.

The 21-year-old arrived on the Spanish island at the beginning of the week, and only a few days in, her life was sadly taken away from her as she fell from a balcony at the resort she was staying in.

Staff at the hotel rushed to try to resuscitate her, but they failed to revive her body.

Since the news of her untimely death has surfaced, her friends and family have been pouring in tributes to the "young, kind-hearted" woman.

On an Instagram picture of her departing from Cork Airport, one friend wrote: "I can't believe that I'm even writing this Ramona.. You were enjoying your life and it was taken way too soon from you! You had so [many] plans for the future and it's just not fair (sic).

"Rest in peace and be as glamorous as always up in heaven."

While another friend commented: "I will love you and treasure your memory for the rest of my life. I promise I will never forget you, I love you Mons I always will (sic)."

Another saddened IG user added: "Honestly can't believe what I've heard! RIP I'm absolutely shocked."

We hope she rests in peace.
