River Island is adding to its plus-size range and the pieces are FAB

We were super excited to hear that River Island would be launching its first ever plus-size range this year and it seems that people have been so impressed with the collection, the high street giant is adding even more sexy styles for us to peruse. 

Taking pieces from the original Spring Summer collections and adding plus size versions means that there really is something to suit all shapes and sizes in store this season. 

From the perfect little black dress (strikingly similar to Adele's Grammy look) to a bright and airy wrap skirt, River Island has summer covered. 

 

The collection is set to land in March of this year and will include a number of pieces from the core collections available in sizes 18-24. 

And the gorgeous Candice Huffine (who was the first plus-size model to land a cover of Vogue) is set to front the exciting campaign. 

"The fact that River Island is extending its sizing while staying true to their brand is perfection," said the model. 

 

And it seems that high street giant has acknowledged to benefits of expanding their sizing to suit a wider portion of the market.

"We're excited about giving great fashion to more women, we feel this is the right time for the brand to expand our size range offering," said River Island marketing director Josie Roscop to Vogue UK.

"Ultimately, it's about fashion and being inclusive."
