New Year’s Festival Dublin announce line-up for the Festival Village

Ring in 2023 with New Year’s Festival Dublin, Ireland’s biggest New Year Celebration. Dublin City will come alive over 2 days of celebrations on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as New Year’s Festival Dublin returns, bigger and better than ever – with a brand-new Festival Village, 2 spectacular countdown events all taking place along North Wall Quay and the New Year’s Day Celebrations in Temple Bar.

Today, New Year’s Festival Dublin has announced the stellar line up of Irish musicians and DJs set to perform at the brand new Festival Village on North Wall Quay on New Year’s Eve. Soak up the electrifying atmosphere with The Blizzards, Tolü Makay, Bradley Marshall, Dara Quilty's Bangers, 2FM’s Emma Power, Katie Phelan, Kingfishr and Rachel Mae Hannon who will all perform as part of the Midnight Family Matinee (between 4pm – 7pm) and Westlife’s headline performance (between 8pm – 11pm). Festival goers for the Midnight Family Matinee and Westlife at New Year’s Festival Dublin can enjoy these performances, across the 4 stages in the Festival Village, as part of their ticket admission. Midnight Family Matinee // North Wall Quay // 4pm on 31 December

New Year’s Festival Dublin have announced Gavin James with special guests Lyra and Brad Heidi for an unmissable Midnight Moment Matinee on New Year’s Eve – a very special earlier countdown event for the little ones. Families and friends of all ages can count down to the New Year together with entertainment starting at 4pm leading to the earlier countdown spectacle at 7pm – expect a carnival atmosphere filled with awe and wonder.

Westlife at New Year's Festival Dublin // North Wall Quay // 8pm on 31 December

Westlife have also been confirmed to headline New Year’s Festival Dublin performing in the brand-new Festival Village on New Year’s Eve, 31st December – with special guests Gavin James and Lyra. This exciting announcement follows hot on the heels of one of the band’s most successful years ever with sold-out Irish, European and Asian stadium dates that included shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, Dublin’s Aviva Stadium and Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The tour continues with over 70 shows around the world. Tickets are on sale now.

Celebrate the final moments of the year at the Midnight Moment and welcome in 2023 in spectacular fashion with Westlife. Prepare to be thrilled and amazed by the visual and musical display, all performed in time with original music created especially for the countdown event to showcase the unique beat and feeling only found in Ireland with ‘The Rhythm Of The Irish’.

Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin TD said, “I am very pleased that NYF Dublin will return this year with a full programme of arts, music and events taking place in Dublin City across New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. This is the first full-scale New Year’s Festival to take place in the capital since 2019 and is a flagship event for the Winter in Dublin campaign, which will encourage domestic and international visitors to celebrate in Dublin this New Year’s”
