Kanye defends disgraced comedian Bill Cosby and Twitter is NOT okay

by

Kanye's at it again.

The rapper has unleashed social media carnage after a controversial tweet posted in the early hours of this morning.

While we try to figure out whether Kanye is a genuine nut or just a total publicity hoarder, Twitter has spent the morning reacting to the 38-year-old's assertion that Bill Cosby is innocent.

Bill, who was released on bail last month after being charged with sexual assault, has been accused of sexually harassing upwards of fifty women during his lengthy career.

The tweet today may reference an ongoing, complicated defamation case brought by model Janice Dickinson against the 78-year-old. The model has claimed that the comedian drugged and raped her back in the eighties.

While the internet's reaction is something to behold, leading the charge against Kanye is Sarah Silvermen.

"Kanye!! You can't be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy," said the comedienne and actress on Twitter

Other fans of the star have taken to social media to lament the tweet while one user asked the rapper to deactivate his social media account.

With the rapper due to release his new album tomorrow, let's just hope this was not an ill-advised publicity stunt.
