WHAT? Hot Mugshot Guy shares his first official MODELLING snap

by

It's been two years since Jeremy Meeks' mugshot sent the internet into meltdown and now the man affectionately known as "Hot Mugshot Guy" has released his first professional headshot.

The Californian felon – who has been locked up in a Nevada prison for felon weapon charges since 2014 – became an internet sensation when his mugshot received over 100,000 likes after being posted to Stockton Police Department's Facebook page.

The attention won the father-of-three a $30,000 modelling contract with White Cross Management before he was even released.

The new picture was posted to Meeks' official Instagram account yesterday and shows the former gang member wearing a Golden State Warriors peaked cap while staring straight into the camera.

Before his March release, Meeks' agent Jim Jordan told the Mail Online that the 32-year-old had been inundated with work-related requests.

He said: "We have major, major fashion brands, designers on the table. We have movies on the table, we have book deals on the table, we have reality non-scripted television on the table, we have pilots on the table, we have club openings in Dubai, Vegas and all over the world."

"We have royalty wanting Jeremy as a special guest in their palaces – we have major, major requests from Japan to Australia, Russia to Dubai, to all the ends of the earth."

But before you get as excited as Meeks' agent, it might be worth noting that the "man who launched a thousand memes" seems to still be under house arrest.

Last night he shared another image on his account which was captioned: "Count down #housearrest #bayarea."

So, it might be a while before we see Meeks and his pale blue eyes shooting in any glamorous locations.
