Lupita opens up about recent struggles

by

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o, revered for her role in film 12 Years a Slave, has recently revealed that her new celebrity status is something that she really struggles to get her head around. In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the-thirty-one-year old star said: “Right now I’m still adjusting. I guess I feel catapulted into a different place; I have a little whiplash … I did have a dream to be an actress, but I didn’t think about being famous.”

Anyone who dreams of being an actor usually includes an Oscar win in their fantasies and when asked about the night she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, Lupita says: “This is actually a conversation I look forward to having in ten years, when all of this is behind me and I have some real perspective on what happened.” It’s refreshing to hear such humble responses from such a hugely talented actress, right?

Talking about the levels of fame that go along with a role and a win as big as Lupita’s, the stunning actress says: “I haven’t yet figured out how to be a celebrity; that’s something I’m learning, and I wish there were a course on how to handle it.”

Awww! We think you’re doing amazingly well Lupita, although there's definitely some other celebs out there who could do with a crash course!
