‘I remember screaming’ Perrie broke down following THAT split

Little Mix have come in for considerable criticism in recent days after firstly choosing to share details of Perrie and Zayn's break-up and then refusing to conceal their disdain for the former One Direction member.

But if recent remarks made by Perrie are anything to go by, it sounds like she and her band mates have been through the absolute ringer since Zayn chose to call time on their two-year engagement by text message.

Offering an insight into the heartache that followed the shock split, Perrie told Heart Radio listeners that she suffered a mini breakdown in public after receiving a phone call from her ex.

While Perrie doesn't explicitly name Zayn, the context of the conversation left listeners in no doubt who she was referring to, saying: "‘I was at the airport and I got an awful phone call, erm, from someone."

"And then… I just… what did I…? I just remember screaming in the airport," Perrie admitted. "‘I was like a women possessed!"

"It was awful! I just blubbed and blubbed and I thought I was going to explode."

Recalling the moment, Perrie's band mate Jade continued: "She had a little mini breakdown in the airport. And it was in the security line and so we thought: “Oh God'"

The Little Mix ladies remember trying to shield Perrie from curious stares, with Leigh-Anne adding: "‘We literally just made a little shell huddle around her so that no one could see her and we were like: ‘It’s okay, just let it out."

Agreeing with band mates that she was left stricken by the phone call, Perrie said: "That was in America, yeah, oh gosh, yeah! I was either going to get put back on a flight back to the UK or put in a straitjacket."

Who else is only DYING to know what was said?!
