You could soon be able to use Instagram even if you’re offline

You know the deal. You have a sh*tty Internet connection in your house, and when you try to post the cutest photo ever of your dog, Instagram fails you.

You try again, but nope, 'FAIL' just keeps popping up.

No one will ever see your cute dog… SMH.

However, the social media app is testing out a feature which will eliminate the need for a strong Internet connection.

Many networks like Netflix and Amazon Prime have already rolled out this new feature, which has gained a great amount of popularity since it won't eat up all your data.

According to a report from the Facebook Developers Conference, Instagram will try to use the same method, especially in countries with dodgy Internet connections.

According to Mashable, the developers said: "Instagram’s mission is to help people connect through shared experiences.

"For people in low-bandwidth regions, we’ve begun testing offline experiences that keep the Instagram experience consistent and let people consume and engage with content, even if they don’t have service.

"In this talk we’ll introduce some of our initial explorations into offline features, and share learnings you can apply to your own apps."

All they need to do is take a trip down to the midlands and they'll see what a dodgy connection is all about!

Oh, and while we have you; don't forget to have your say in the inaugural SHEmazing Awards this May! It's time to vote, and you can do it right here!
