Last week, we reported on Irish rugby star Gordon D’Arcy’s wonderful news that he and wife Aoife Cogan had welcomed their first child, and today it has been revealed that yet another Ireland international star has become a dad.

According to reports this evening, Ireland and Munster star Simon Zebo has welcomed his first child with his Spanish girlfriend, Elvira Fernandez.

Simon and Elvira are said to have welcomed a son last week, whom they have named Jacob. What a gorgeous name!

The 25-year-old star marked little Jacob’s birth today while celebrating scoring a try, doing the famous ‘rock the baby’ on the pitch.

Shortly after, the Irish Independent confirmed the couple’s news, with rugby correspondent Rúaidhrí O’Connor tweeting: “Simon Zebo’s ‘rock the baby’ celebration marked the arrival of his first child, a baby boy named Jacob who was born last week, I’m told.”

No further details have been revealed as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Huge congratulations to the couple on their amazing news.
