There have been interviews, lie detectors and even official word from HBO that Jon Snow is dead, and yet the world just can't seem to believe it.

But now, a few students who are massive fans of Game of Thrones have worked out an algorithm that proves the chances of Jon Snow dying are very slim.

Scholars at the Technical University of Munich researched the likelihood of a characters' death throughout the series using info from the show, the novels, fan websites and social media pages.

The students analysed the characters by "age, title, gender, number of deceased relations, popularity" and a dozen of other categories, according to Harper's Bazaar.

This is the outcome of most likely to die:

  • Tommen Baratheon: 97%
  • Stannis Baratheon: 96%
  • Daenerys Targaryen: 95%
  • Davos Seaworth: 91%
  • Petyr Baelish: 91%

And these are the least likely:

  • Sansa Stark: 3%
  • Jon Snow: 11%
  • Cersei Lannister: 16%
  • Mace Tyrell: 18%
  • Roose Bolton: 28%

SEE? Only 11 percent. We just might be on to something here…
