The sweetest moment of 2013

When 86-year-old Mr Pinegar injured himself while trying to help his 90-year-old neighbour who had fallen on the ice, he underwent serious surgery and then contracted a potentially fatal infection.

Thinking he wasn’t going to make it, he shared this beautiful moment with his devoted wife, which his daughter captured on video.

Thankfully Mr Pinegar recovered and was allowed home, but this video still gets us every time.
