The brick is back! Nokia 3310 will be available to buy next week

We all loved 'the brick'.

You know, the Nokia 3310 that you could bash off walls and it would still be in mint condition?

The phone, which was first released in September 2000, is making its way back onto the market.

Nokia has decided to remake the handsets again, and it is thought they will be considered as a 'second' phone to bring along to festivals and concerts.

The Nokia 3310 will be available from Vodafone, Eir and Carphone Warehouse from Wednesday 2 August.

According to 98fm, the colour-screened phone has up to a month's standby time and it will deliver more than 22 hours of talk time.

“This is what consumers have been asking us for, and so we decided that we’d just do it and have some fun with it," said Florian Seiche, president of HMD and Nokia spokesperson.

We're looking forward the brick making its way back into our lives!
