Look, we know it makes us total saps, but sometimes we just need a good ol’ cry.

You know the type of crying we mean… contorted face, lots of sniffling and enough tears to fill a bathtub. You’ll feel better afterwards, trust us!

That’s why we love (but also hate) watching these movies…

1. Marley and Me
You don’t need to be an animal person to get emotional watching this movie. If you’ve ever so much as petted a dog in your life you’re sure to be in floods by the end of Marley and Me, which tells the story of an adorable Golden Retriever and his owners, played by Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. Just thinking about the ending sets us off!

2.Titanic
The classic weepy flick. Every single time we hope the ending will be different. For god’s sake Jack, don’t let go!

3. The Time Traveller’s Wife
Based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger, this romantic drama starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana is the ultimate star-crossed lovers story. If the film doesn’t make you cry, we guarantee the book will!

4. Up
The real heart-breaking bit of this film is at the start, not the end, so come prepared. You’ll be weeping into your popcorn before the first line is spoken!

5. Stepmom
You’ll never listen to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough the same way again. This film might be a little but cheesy, but the ending is seriously emotional.

6. Steel Magnolias
Another old-school tearjerker! Although it’s a weepy, this is a really charming film with lots of laughs. It has a great cast of ladies, too – Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine and Dolly Parton. You’ll feel like you’re a regular at Truvy’s Beauty Parlour by the end.
