We can all admit we’ve daydreamed of being a bridesmaid one day.

Playing such a special part in your sister or best friend’s big day is the ultimate honour, however, it will set you back quite a lot of money.

Weddings are certainly a pricey affair, even for the regular guests. However, when it comes to the bridal party their big role in the wedding sees them spending an extortionate amount of money.

The Vow has conjured up just how much money the average bridesmaid is spending. Those of you with upcoming bridesmaids duties may want to close your eyes.

They revealed that the average bridesmaid spends a whopping €500.

24 percent of women involved in their study said they spend €500-€800, however, 17 percent admitted they have spent an eye-watering €1000 on the nuptials.

Others (8 percent) even admitted to spending over €1500 on their friend or family member’s big day. Ouch!

The bride and groom tend to look after the bridesmaid's outfit and all things beauty, but what’s really costing bridesmaids a small fortune is the little things.

Things like decorations for hen parties, alcohol, and engagement gifts are costing a pretty penny.

Being a bridesmaid may be a huge honour but you’d certainly want to start saving straight away if you’ve got a big wedding coming up.

It’ll cost a few bob, but there’s no doubt in our minds that it’ll be worth every penny.

Kate Wright and Rio Ferdinand are officially husband and wife. The couple shared the first photo of their wedding, simply captioning it, ‘Mr and Mrs Ferdinand 27/9/19’

In an interview with OK! Magazine, the newlyweds gushed about their special day.

The couple tied the knot in front of their closest family and friends in lavish ceremony in Turkey.

Kate looked as beautiful as ever in her fishtail gown. The stunning bride said Rio’s daughter Tia was the first person to see her wedding dress. The former reality star wanted to ensure that Rio’s three children were a big part of their wedding day.

She told OK! “Tia has said for so long that she wanted to be the first one to see me in my dress and she was. She was so happy – she was nearly crying.

“Then she introduced me to my mum and my bridesmaids in the dress and she loved it. It meant everything to her and it was so special for us to share that moment before the madness of the day.”

Rio’s sons, Lorenz, 13 and Tate, 11, also played a big role in their dad’s wedding day.

Kate shared, “Having the boys walk me down the aisle was just amazing. It was a hugely important moment for me and they did so well. Seeing Rio at the altar made me feel so happy, I couldn’t wait to get to him.”

Rio added, “Seeing Tate and Lorenz walk Kate down the aisle was particularly poignant and we wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way. They were so proud and they couldn’t wait to do that, they felt important.”

Congratulations to the happy couple.

Finding your dream wedding dress isn’t easy. We trawl through rails and rails of white gowns, try on half a dozen dresses and scour the Internet for the perfect frock, but the stress is always worth it when you find ‘the one’.

Sadly, many brides-to-be are now facing quite the dilemma after Glasnevin bridal store ‘The Bridal Corner’ closed immediately.

The management issued a statement last night, stressing that they will do their best to reimburse every customer.

“It is with great regret that the shop was forced to close last week due to accumulating debt, and we would like to apologise for the distress and confusion this has caused to some of our customers.

“The owner has been trying to raise funds to keep the business afloat but that process has proved to be quite difficult,” they wrote.

“It is the intention of the owner to refund all deposits to brides for dresses that the Bridal Corner cannot provide but that will take some time. We will be making contact with all brides that are affected that have weddings before Christmas over the next few days,” they stressed.

Thank God for Miley Cyrus. She has fully MADE our Valentine's Day by essentially sharing her entire wedding album, and we're lining up in droves to see it.

In honour of the (apparent) most romantic day of the year, the 26-year-old singer gave her fans an inside look at her picture-perfect nuptials to actor Liam Hemsworth.

She posted candid photos of the bride and groom to her Instagram, and she was looking absolutely gorgeous.

She captioned the first image; "My Valentine every single day." Too cute, Miley. You're both stunning.

The next image shows the happy couple embracing, with the caption; "Thank you for always bending down to hug me…I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine!"

There is a definite height difference, so we have mad respect for Liam for bending down. The bar is super low…

Miley and Liam wed in a small, intimate ceremony at their Tennessee estate on December 23, and the general public had no clue it was happening.

Fans first began to suspect that the actor and singer, who met on the set of The Last Song in 2010, were exchanging vows when clips of their celebration began to spread on social media.

Miley confirmed that herself and Liam married after 10 YEARS of dating on St. Stephen's Day.

The Nothin' Breaks Like A Heart songstress shared a photo of herself in the beautiful Vivienne Westwood wedding gown, and we were FLOORED.

Keep the pictures coming, gal. We crave them.

We love all things wedding related, from dresses to cakes, and everything in between.

That's why we were super duper excited to discover the most liked wedding gown on Instagram EVER – and we're not entirely convinced.

The long-sleeved dress, designed by Ivan Gunaway, features thousands of pearls and a high illusion neckline, and was recently worn by Indonesian bride Intan Azzahra.

And while we can totally appreciate how impressive the dress is, with intricate beading and a massive amount of skill, we're not sure it's our style.

The beautiful bride shared snaps of her big day last month, and social media reacted accordingly – by liking the images.

The dress amassed over 200,000 likes, making it the most popular wedding dress that Instagram has ever seen.

The poofy Princess style dress was accessorised with a large crown (as you do), and massive diamond earrings.

Needless to say, the dress was not the only part of the wedding that was wonderfully OTT, with the couple entering their party via red carpet, and faux-castle backdrop.

During the night, the blushing bride changed into an even more lavish dress, which was bright red and exteremly poofy (even more than the wedding gown).

Despite the fact that the wedding dress is not our style, we cannot deny the beauty of it.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially tied the knot, but the couple are not di=one sharing gorgeous insight into their wedding via social media.

The latest video from their wedding party shows new bride Milley dancing away to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars.

The singer is barefoot but still wearing her wedding dress, as hubby Liam films her moves.

Miley opted for a beautiful silk Vivienne Westwood dress with a boat neckline, complemented perfectly by her tousled blonde locks and minimal makeup.

Miley holds on to her dress as she busts a move, before Liam gets tired of filming and makes an appearance in the video .

The pair wed in a secret ceremony at their home in Franklin, Tennessee on Dec. 23.

Their families were both in attendance at the surprisingly low kwy (for a celebrity wedding) affair.

The home was decorated with a mix of wedding and Christmas decor.

Congrats to the couple, we hope they enjoyed their first Christmas as newlyweds after being together for ten years.

As stunning the bride always looks at her wedding, draped in white silk and adorned with accessories galore, the guests also have a glamorous dress code to adhere to.

Finding the perfect outfit to wear to a winter wedding can be difficult, seeing as winter in Ireland mainly involves wrapping up as warmly as physically possible.

It's downright offensive to have to cover up our chic wedding attires because of the temperature, but pair these gowns with a glam coat and you'll be the belle of every wedding ball. (Apart from the bride, of course, upstaging her is a faux pas)

The big day has finally arrived for the Royals, and the bride has made her appearance.

Princess Eugenie made her entrance at St. George’s Chapel looking incredible in a Peter Pilotto gown.

The dress was designed by both Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos, and it has buckled the minimalist trend that other Royals have opted for.

Eugenie is wearing the stunning Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara, also known as the Boucheron tiara.

The gorgeous piece of jewellery once belonged to the Queen Mother, who was left it by Mrs Greville.

The 28-year-old opted for her hair to be in an up style by Sonny-Jo Macfarlane at Hari’s and make-up by Bobbi Brown’s Hannah Martin.

Eugenie accessorised her look by matching the tiara with emerald earrings.

The diamond drop earrings are a gift from the groom, Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie’s wedding shoes are by Charlotte Olympia and she carried a bouquet by Patrice van Hellen Oakes.

The off-the-shoulder, Peter Pilotto gown beautifully honours her battle with scoliosis.

The princess underwent surgery at age 12 for the spinal condition and she bravely chose to embrace her scars on her big day.

Jack and Eugenie are now officially man and wife.

We’ve spent many nights curled up on the sofa with never-ending episodes of Say Yes to the Dress Ireland playing on the TV.

Our evenings just haven’t been the same since the last season of the show ended, but fear not, the wonderful Franc is returning to our screens very soon.

The unmissable series starts on Monday, September 17 on RTÉ2, and follows 30 brides from all over Ireland looking to find their perfect dress.

Over 3,500 dresses from all over the world await the new group of brides-to-be and their entourages at Vows Bridal Store in Cork.

Franc and the bridal consultants; Vows Owner, Mary O’Dowling, along with Janice O’Leary, Denise O’Riordian and Ciara O’Dowling will meet brides from all over the country in search of their dream dresses.

This five-part series has a few surprises in store including an opinionated father of the bride and a worried fiancé thrown into the mix.

One of this season’s brides Abby Ho has been searching high and low for her dream gown.

32-year-old Abby’s appointment will be a challenge. Abby is getting married in four months’ time, she’s got a budget of €500 maximum and she is joined by her five very opinionated sisters.  But the biggest challenge: before today Abby had tried over 50 wedding dresses and said no to them all.

We are so excited for the show to return to our screens. You can tune into the new episodes of Say Yes to the Dress Ireland on Monday, September 17 on RTÉ2.

It was the wedding of the year.

An estimated 1.9 billion people tuned in to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say I do, at the breathtaking St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Meghan Markle stunned in a Clare Waight Keller Givenchy gown.

To our delight, the British designer's creation will be on display to the public from October 26 to January 6, 2019.

This special exhibition will form part of the Windsor Castle tour.

A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also include Harry's attire from the special day in May 2018.

The Duke of Sussex's wedding outfit was the frockcoat uniform of the Household Cavalry (the 'Blues and Royals'), made by tailors at Dege & Skinner on Savile Row.

The uniform is still being worn by Harry, so for the exhibition an identical copy has been made.

We can only imagine how spectacular the pieces are, up close and personal. Trip to London anyone?
