Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have snapped back at haters making fun of the way they kiss, deciding to lock lips in an Instagram video that gets…sloppy.

Shawn explains:

"So we saw on Twitter and stuff, you guys saying about the way we were kissing and how it looks weird. Like we kiss like fish,” Mendes tells the camera in a clip posted to Instagram.

Camila adds that it ‘really hurt our feelings’. Shawn added; "We just want to show you how we really kiss." The couple then go in for the kill, and we died a slow death from that point onwards.

They basically mash their faces together, with Shawn even putting his hand on the back of the singer's neck at one point, but the laughter gets the better of them and they pull apart.

If they wanted to break the internet they’ve succeeded, as the clip has fetched over three million views in two hours. Their sales from Señorita must be sky-high at this stage.

Celebrities (Niall Horan) had plenty to say in the comments section, but Twitter users couldn't keep their horror to themselves;

"I just saw Camilla cabello and Shawn Mendes kiss in the most horrific, tragic, and disgusting way". We reckon 'tragic' is too harsh a word to use, but we admit to being frightened by the sloppiness.

There were, of course, numerous tweets about eyeballs needing cleansing;

"Why is this on my timeline again, I don't deserve such treatment," another internet user wrote- referencing Arthur memes for good measure;

The classic confused girl GIF popped up as well, not to be missed;

We wonder how fish feel about being compared to two of the most currently successful artists in the game? Nemo is probably chuffed.

At the same time, why is there so much hate about their style of kissing? They're two happy youngsters in the prime of their lives falling in love, yet people are disgusted by their smooches;

Maybe we're all just jealous that Shawn Mendes is now a taken man, or that Camila Mendes is a taken woman.

#Shawmila fans have been speculating about their relationship since the release of their collaborative tune, and they have been pictured shifting the face off each other on numerous occasions.

They also put on a steamy performance at the VMAs this year, but 22-year-old Camila recently said she refuses to talk about their relationship because she wants to ‘protect’ it.

"I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved. I want it to be mine and his. That’s why I’m so tight-lipped about it: because I want to protect it," she said.

The Havana singer told ELLE:

"Love is the most sacred, precious thing to me. I want to always feel like my love is between me and that person, and never belonging to anyone else. As much as I love my fans, and as much as I love people, I like to live my life as normally as possible," she said.

"In a relationship, it makes me feel uncomfortable to invite everyone in on that.'

Twitter is freaking out over Madonna’s recent tribute to the late Aretha Franklin, calling her speech ‘a very moving tribute to herself’.

And it seems most people are in agreement with that perspective.

At MTV’s Video Music Awards on Monday, Madonna entered the stage dressed in a floor-length, black dress, appropriate for her mourning of the legendary ‘Queen of Soul’.

“Aretha Louise Franklin changed the course of my life.” The pop singer began her speech to honour Aretha.

Madonna told her story of how singing Aretha’s "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" at an audition changed her life, causing her discovery, and setting her on a course to fame.

The Pop Queen continued her rags to riches tale, saying that “none of this would have happened, could have happened without our lady of soul”.

She led me to where I am today and I know she influenced so many people in this room tonight,” she said. “I want to thank you Aretha for empowering all of us.”

However, contrary to her intended effect, the American singer’s anecdote immediately encountered opposition online from viewers everywhere.

Comedian Roy Wood Jr joked on Twitter: “'If it wasn't for Aretha, we wouldn't have Madonna'- Madonna.”

Author Michael Arceneaux tweeted: “‘You’re probably all wondering why I am telling this story.’ Yes, Madonna”.

The singer also came under attack for her outfit choice: chunky, silver jewellery with pops of red, and a matching headband adorned with spikes.

Commenters said that her ‘African jewellery’ was an attempt to claim black culture.

One user ranted that “this was not an #Aretha tribute but a monologue on how another iconic Black woman is being reduced to how she helped a white woman.”

Others  have come to Madonna’s defence, calling her speech ‘moving’ and on point by  ‘thanking [Aretha] for empowering all female artists.’

While Madonna has yet to respond to her recent tribute haters, we expect she will feel forced to clarify her intentions soon.

Meanwhile, other influencers have spoken out in tribute to the legendary soul singer, including Adele, Ariana Grande, and Paul McCartney.

Former American president, Barack Obama said that ‘Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect.”

It is clear that Aretha has made an impact on musical history, not just in the genre of soul but for women everywhere, demonstrating how a legendary voice and raw, feminine power can change the world.

People were not happy with Miley Cyrus hosting this year’s VMAs according to newly released complaints!

Well, make that about 20 people. That's the number of concerned viewers who were so offended with her nipples and twerking that they decided to officially lodge a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission.

Apparently sending angry tweets or commenting on her Instagram page wasn't enough—these viewers wouldn't stop until the TV station heard a piece of their mind.

Rolling Stone got their hands on each and every formal complaint and they are hilarious to say the least and we picked the best ones for you to read here.

You’re going to get a huge kick out of these:

1. "There were multiple words that were not okay, including 'horny.'"

2. "I only watched about 10 minutes, and it just so happened to be right when Miley Cyrus 'accidentally' exposed her breast on-air. This is not expectable."

3. "Miley Cyrus is a VERY TROUBLED CHILD and I can not believe what she was able to get away with on this show. Seems like she is in the news everywhere doing disgusting, perverted and lewd things. I just can't understand why this CHILD gets away with all of this."

4. "MTV used to be decent now there is cuss words."

5. "Please do not televise this garbage. It is not fit for any human being to see."

6. "MTV has aired a clip of Donald Trump and immediately afterward Miley Cyrus appears with both middle fingers up. It is clear they are putting the clips back to back to relay a message."

7. "Miley sings a song 'Yeah I smoke weed, yeah I love peace' as the chorus. She wore an outfit saying 'Do it.'"

She has long been known for being one of Hollywood’s most outspoken stars, and it seems that when it came to this year’s VMAs Pink has not changed a bit.

Following Sunday’s award show, she commented to a fan that she felt “embarrassed” while watching the performances unfold.

According to E! News the singer said: "I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won't save any kids life.”

She continued to add: "In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul?"

So she found herself felling “disenfranchised” by the whole ordeal, aside from a few more noteworthy moments. Artists such as Tori Kelly, Justin Bieber and Macklemore were all bringing their A-game as far as Pink was concerned.

"The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe.”

One of the performers falling under the “gross” label was Demi Lovato, who was not impressed with Pink’s review on Sunday’s events. She responded with a series of tweets:

Fans of both singers were, naturally, less than pleased and a supposed ‘feud’ began to ignite social media.

However, Pink was quick to dismiss the unrest asking for people to stop creating drama between the stars.

Her forgetting about Demi's performance was apparently supposedly another thinly-veiled dig at the star but she insisted that was not what she was trying to do. She then shared a fan's tweet which she felt summed up the situation perfectly:

A backstage video which purports to show Taylor Swift taking cocaine at the recent VMAs ceremony has emerged on a social media site.

Entitled Taylor Swift Does Coke? in it, the singer-songwriter is shown holding an item to her nose while being surrounded by her entourage.

However, this evening her publicist has come out to strongly refute any suggestion that the 25-year-old had taken drugs – instead explaining that she was simply blowing her nose.

The clip was taken by MTV as part of its behind-the-scenes footage, but was never broadcast during last Sunday's glitzy awards bash.

It shows Ms Swift in low lighting walking down a corridor at the Los Angeles venue. She subsequently stops to ask her assistant to hand her something.

A trio of aides, looking around uneasily, then close ranks around her by linking their arms, thus giving her a moment of privacy.

Afterwards, one of them checks her nose with a torch to ensure it is clear.

The clip was uploaded onto YouTube and viewed several thousand times before it was removed.

The video was originally sent to Gawker via SecureDrop, a platform for untraceable communications between journalists and sources.

Gawker also claims that the Trouble singer's publicist threatened to sue them if they reported that Taylor was doing cocaine.

Vanessa Hudgens opted for a different date to last nights VMAs and we're so glad she did because SHEmazing! HQ now have a new style crush.

Vanessa brought along her younger sister, Stella, to the star-studded event, and the duo wowed the red carpet with their fabulous boho looks.

The High School Musical star flaunted her usual bohemian look, with a rose coloured, low-cut floral gown. She teamed the dress with gold accessories and an embellished rose-gold cast (she broke her finger earlier this month).

Ms. Hudgens, 26, wore her hair plaited like a Grecian Goddess to pull the whole look together.

Stella, 19, opted for a more edgier look as she rocked a dark, vampy lip.

Vanessa's little sister could have been the main star though as she wore an off-the-shoulder cream gown, full of silk detail and embellishment. Swoon.

She went for similar gold jewellery as Vanessa to finish off the look.

We know Stella is the lesser-known sister, but after this red carpet appearance we're sure she's going to be on every girl's style radar.

Earlier in the day, Vanessa tweeted behind-the-scenes pics of her and Stella getting ready for the glamorous event.

Oh, how we wish we could be a Hudgen sister.

We all know that the modern-day Kylie Jenner is close-to unrecognisable from her former self.

Indeed, not so long ago, the reality TV star and media personality was entirely fresh-faced and au natural. But – as anyone who's weathered those awkward teenage years will know well – a few short years can make ALL the difference.

Arriving at the VMAs last year in a full-length silk black gown, a then just 17-year-old Kylie certainly turned heads.

But little did we know then just how much further her transformation had to go.

As if to illustrate a point, last night she wore a stunning short creation from Balmain – also one of her sister Kim's favourite designers.

Sporting a deep tan from her recent jaunts to Mexico and St Barts, she matched the thigh-skimming number with coordinated heels, stacked silver rings and a bronze rectangular clutch.

She also wore a jet-black wig and dramatic dark eye make-up.

Later that evening, she also changed for the after-ceremony celebrations: although she kept on the same nude shoes, Ms Jenner, 18, decided to see out the night in a black bandage dress which showed off plenty of skin.

Which was your favourite look? Kylie 2014… or either of her two outfits from 2015?

When it comes to style disasters – pretty much no celebrity is immune from the odd wardrobe mishap or sartorial disaster.

In fact, we're pretty sure that somewhere, at some stage, even Olivia Palermo has had an off-day.

And certainly, over her decade-and-a-half long career, a certain Britney Spears has also had her fair share of style catastrophes.

The list is arguably too long to delve into (double-denim with Justin Timberlake, anyone?) but few could forget her memorable-for-all-the-wrong reasons MTV VMA performance back in 2007 – a lip-syncing car-crash that was widely panned and ridiculed in the aftermath.

Still, eight years later, Ms Spears has certainly redeemed herself: she turned up to this year's VMA offering last night in a figure-hugging gold dress that turned heads and very possibly stole the show.

Yes, the 33-year-old mother-of-two was undeniably stunning wearing an unforgiving limited edition gown from Labourjoisie’s 2015 collection.

The thigh-skimming number features a low neckline, and cut-out panels at the waist and abs – not for the faint-hearted, granted, but Brit-Brit pulled it off perfectly.

Of course, the superstar remains one of the world’s most successful musicians – but her 2007 VMA appearance was the beginning of her now infamous downward spiral.

She had a mental breakdown, underwent emergency psychiatric treatment, and her family feared for her life and the safety of her children.

In fact, for a period of time, she even lost custody of her two sons – Jayden James, nine, and Sean, eight – and a court handed over control of her personal and financial affairs to her father (that set-up is ongoing).

However, these days, things are looking a lot more positive for Britney, and TMZ reported recently that her “doctors have stabilised her to the point she can successfully work and maintain a personal life”.

In late 2013, Ms Spears began a two-year residency show Britney: Piece Of Me at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. She is currently paid around €425,000 per performance.

This week, Zayn Malik allegedly threw shade Taylor Swift's way – retweeting a message that implied the songstress is more focused on making money than using her fame for good.

It was a move that prompted Tay-Tay's boyf Calvin Harris to launch a full-on attack on the former One Directioner… though the Scottish DJ later relayed somewhat, complimenting Mr Malik on his "great voice".

Still, it's certainly not the first time that 25-year-old Ms Swift has been involved in a tiff. In fact, trouble and feuding seems to follow the singer-songwriter.

Here, we chronicle the highs and lows of her top six fall-outs:

Taylor Vs Katy:

The original feud! We can hardly remember what kicked it all off at this stage – something to do with Katy, 30, allegedly stealing her former friend's dancers for a world tour (why were the dancers so eager to leave, we'd like to know).

And even now, it seems it's the stand-off that refuses to die-down.

In fact, just late last month, Ms Swift brought on stage with her during a concert in Massachusetts an over-sized shark – a prop Katy famously used during her Super Bowl performance. She evidently thought it was hilarious; others were less enthused.

Of course after Taylor's high-profile Bad Blood video, we're guessing that a kiss-and-make-up scenario isn't on the cards anytime soon.

Taylor Vs Miley:

We love that Ms Cyrus, 22, speaks her mind – and speak her mind she certainly did during a recent interview with Marie Clare.

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” the singer said referring to Taylor's Bad Blood video. “That’s supposed to be a good example?

"And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”

Now, HollywoodLife.com reports that Ms Swift knows Miley doesn't like her (FYI: Katy and Ms Cyrus are mates – and Tay-Tay thinks the former turned the latter against her).

In fact, Swifty is SERIOUSLY concerned that the Wrecking Ball singer is going to have a pop at her at the VMAs in two weeks' time: Miley is presenting; Taylor is up for nine awards.

We can't wait.

Taylor Vs Nicki

Speaking of the VMAs – Taylor was left red-faced when she assumed Nicki Minaj's VMA Twitter rant was about her (it's not always all about you, Tay-Tay).

Ms Minaj, 32, had been complaining that her mega-hit Anaconda didn't get a Best Video nomination (which actually does seem a bit strange).

"If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies," her online complaint began, "you will be nominated for vid of the year." Cue Taylor jumping in, taking it all personal.

Predictably, within 24hours Katy Perry just couldn't resist elbowing her way into the situation with her own online contribution.

Wowsers. Anyway – Twitter went properly into meltdown over the whole situation, and Tays later took a chill pill and admitted that she had probably jumped to conclusions.

She also invited Ms Minaj to join her on stage "anytime," (pretty sure the woman sells out her own concerts, mind). The duo subsequently seem to be on good terms – for the moment anyway.

Taylor Vs John

The Pennsylvanian singer and a guitar-weilding John Mayer had a brief romance – although things didn't end too well. Then she wrote a song, Dear John, which he claims is a bit mean.

Lines include: "Don't you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games, when I loved you so?" and "I lived in your chess game, but you changed the rules every day."

These days, Mr Mayer says she just ignores him.

"You can see me at the Grammys doing what I do best, being avoided by Taylor Swift," the 37-year-old said while hosting the Late, Late Show back in February.

John and a certain Katy Perry, of course, have had an on-off thing since 2012 – which probably doesn't help matters.

Taylor Vs Apple and Spotify

Taylor famously withdrew her music from Spotify because she says they weren't giving her enough dough – though the likes of U2, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney don't seem to mind. Anyhoo, her argument is: "Music is art, and art is important and rare.

"Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for."

So, what's the alternative? Well, funny you ask… because in early June Apple began its music streaming service – a platform that, until Tay-Tay bemoaned its payment policy just a few weeks after its launch, many folk were unfamiliar with.

"We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation," she said in an open letter.

The tech corporation quickly did a U-turn, as confirmed by executive Eddy Cue on Twitter.

And so in the end everyone involved seemed rather happy – especially the woman herself, who just days after the incident announced that she'd be releasing her mega-selling 1989 album… on Apple. Yup, everyone's happy, so.

Taylor Vs Tina Fey AND Amy Poehler

We hardly know where to look – comediennes Tina and Amy are living legends, after all. But a couple of years ago, Swifty just didn't find them all that funny

Why? Well, the duo were hosting the Golden Globes in 2013, peppering the gig with plenty of tongue-in-cheek gags. Over the course of the evening, they even made fun of Miss Taylor's dating history.

Tays didn't seem to see the funny side though and later told Vanity Fair: "there's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."

Ouch.

In contrast, for example, the likes of Hollywood legend Leonardo DiCaprio managed to smile and say nadda at the receiving end of similarly scathing remarks.

Indeed, last year he did just that when Ms Fey announced his arrival on the Golden Globes stage with the properly hilarious: “And now, like a supermodel’s vagina, let’s all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio…"

Miley Cyrus has probably become one of the most outspoken celebrities of her generation.

A photo posted by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on

Now she’s opening up about how the TV show that launched her career and sent her directly into the media spotlight as had drastic effects on her mental state.

Playing a teen pop star who lived a double life was apparently not all that fun for the real Miley. In the latest issue of Marie Claire the 22-year old opens up about how much her childhood career affected her self-esteem.

A photo posted by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on

“I was made to look like someone that I wasn’t, which probably caused some body dysmorphia.” She told the magazine, “I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn’t on that show, it was like, Who the f— am I?”

She said the wardrobe she donned every day gave her misconceptions about what was perceived as beautiful.

“You’re a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, and you have to have long hair, and you have to put on some glittery tight thing.”

She says that at the time she was still a “fragile little girl” who was covered in make-up.

Her mom, she says, even considered having lights brought in so to help Miley cope with the long gruelling hours she worked. Miley suffers from seasonal affective disorder which was apparently made worse by working on studio sets from 2006 to 2011.

Miley said that she had to persevere through the tough times:

“I just had to keep going, be tough, be strong. Everything happened to me on that set.”

A photo posted by Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus) on

Now, Miley has become a spokesperson for LGBTQ rights, is supposedly dating Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell and she will be hosting this year’s VMAs. She’s definitely not letting her past experiences hold her back then.

She also talked about friend Caitlyn Jenner in the interview. Miley has dismissed claims that Caitlyn transitioned for fame, calling the idea "insane".

She said: "Caitlyn has to tell her story, because if she doesn’t, everyone else is going to tell it for her.”

which isn't surprising considering Miley was one of the first celebrities so show support for Cait on social media after her Vanity Fair cover was revealed to the world.

It’s the feud that has engrossed us all – and now that Katy Perry (AND inadvertently, Rihanna) have chipped in too… things have just got a whole lot better.

Following on from yesterday’s explosive social media battle between Tay-Tay Swift and a seemingly snubbed Ms Minaj, yet more A-listers have been adding in their tuppence worth.

And leading the onslaught is certainly Ms Perry, who seriously got the claws out when she accused her former BFF (and now arch nemesis) Taylor of capitalising “on the takedown of a woman”.

Tweeting to her 73million followers, the 30-year-old stated: “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…”

OUCH!

She also then dragged Rihanna, 27, into the dispute, saying the real VMA nominations travesty was that the Barbadian singer’s controversial Bi**h Better Have My Money video wasn’t eligible this year, having only been released recently.

It has long been rumoured that 25-year-old Ms Swift’s hit Bad Blood single was a less-than subtle dig at Katy over unresolved personal issues between the two.

And last September Taylor also said in an interview with Rolling Stone the song was about a female musician and “straight-up enemy”.

Katy furthermore appeared to call her one-time friend a “Regina George in sheep's clothing” on social media.

The feud reportedly ignited when three of Taylor's dancers quit to go work for Katy on her massive world tour, with Swifty explaining in the same Rolling Stone interview: “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.

She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

The pair have also both at one time or another dated Hollywood player, John Mayer.
