We know it’s bad to say this, but good indie Irish films are few and far between. So when we heard about Trampoline, which was written and directed by Tom Ryan, and made on a budget of less than €1,000, our hopes weren’t too high.

But then we watched the trailer, and we were sold.

Trampoline tells the story of Angie who returns home to Tipperary once she finishes college, and gets a job as an English teacher in her old secondary school. Things don’t go as smoothly as she planned though (what does?) and she soon finds herself having to make some big life decisions – something we can all relate to.

It won Best Film awards in New York and Canada, and lead actor Aide Spratt also took home a Best Actress award in LA for her portrayal of Angie.

You won’t catch this film in your local cinema, but you CAN stream it from Seed and Spark for €2.99, or pre-order the DVD from trampolinemovie.com.

Poor Kylie Jenner ended up in hospital after injuring herself while messing around on the family’s trampoline with big sis Khloe.

The 16-year-old wrote on Instagram: “in the hospital thanks to @khloekardashian. (Look at her page for the reason why) my mom said “never thought I would take u to the doctor for a trampoline accident at this age) this means war Khloe. Ps. It was painful taking this photo.”

The youngest Jenner was messing around with the 29-year-old before she fell and hurt her back. The fun has apparently “ended in a war” between the lookalike sisters.

Khloe wrote: “This started out calm and ended in a war! Sorry @kyliejenner!”

In retaliation to her sister placing the blame on her, Khloe then posted up a collage of the two on the trampoline to show that it wasn’t actually her fault.

She wrote:  “Kylie this is proof you did it to yourself! Sorry not sorry! Just kidding I am sorry my little bug a boo!! Let the war continue. LOL I love you @kyliejenner.”

Get better soon, Kylie!

Even the idea of working out can send a feeling of dread straight to the pit of your stomach. Running mindlessly on treadmills, trying to keep your balance on the cross-trainer, squating – they’re all just torture methods in disguise.

It doesn’t have to be that way though. Here are three fun things you did as a kid that can give you a great cardio workout and tone those abs.

Hula Hooping:
It’s a cardio workout that strengthens your core, can prevent lower back pain, improves your coordination and burns calories. Basically, it’s amazing. A kid’s hoop will do, but do consider investing in a special exercise version that’s weighted for a more efficient workout.

Skipping:
Whether you use a skipping rope or your broken clothes line, skipping is one of the best cardio workouts around. Mix up your routine with a few different techniques, while keeping a decent pace and you could burn an average of 12 calories per minute. Just take care to wear good shoes and avoid very hard surfaces in order to protect your knees.

Trampolining:Bounce your way to a healthier body. By staying on the trampoline for at least 15 minutes at a time, you can give yourself a great workout. Add some star jumps and even a couple of tumbles if you’re brave (or coordinated!) enough and you’ll be in great shape.
