Friendship bracelets, secret handshakes, cringey matching t-shirts – there are plenty of ways to show your bestie just how much you love and appreciate them – but these latest symbols of loyalty have got to be our favourite yet.

You and your best pal can now get temporary tattoos of each other's face, and if that doesn't scream BFF, we don't know what does.

Available from Etsy seller Lilimandrill, the personalised tatts are handmade to order and range in price from €61 (10 prints) to €288 (500 prints).

All of the images are hand-drawn and even include a message of your choice.

The temporary tattoos have proved to be a popular wedding favour, with many couples ordering a batch for their big day.

"These came out absolutely perfect and I can't wait for our wedding guests to see them! Thanks again!," wrote one happy customer.

While another said: "We absolutely love our custom made tattoos! The design process through email was super easy and we couldn't be happier with the result."

Honestly, we can't think of any situation that can't be improved by temporary tattoos…

Scented temporary tattoos are the latest trend clogging up Pinterest right now – but we're not complaining.

According to the site's latest trend report, space buns, mismatched nails and shoulder-length hair are all big players in the worlds of style and beauty this summer, but it's these tiny, scented tattoos that are being pinned more than any other trend.

Searches are up a massive 450 per cent from this time last year, meaning that if you haven't come across them yet, it's only a matter of time.

Tattly are market leaders in this must-have accessory, featuring designs by the French watercolour artist, Vincent Jeannerot.

The temporary tattoos are made using vegetable-based ink and last for up to four days.

The scents of the tattoos vary depending on the collection but include everything from true florals to herbs and spices.

If you're heading to Longitude this weekend, or any other festival this summer, you've no doubt already started planning your attire.

One accessory we love for adding some short-term bling to your look is a metallic temporary tattoo. These easy-to-apply tatts are available in a huge range of designs, from simple line drawings to elegant jewellery-style creations. But what's on offer and what's the best way to wear them? Let's take a look…

Where to find them
Both high street and online stores have a variety of foil tatts this summer, and here are a few we'll definitely be trying:

Mini Metallic Arrow Temporary Tattoos, €4.99 for two sheets, Claire's

Unique Freak Metallic Temporary Tattoos, €7 for one sheet, Missguided.eu

Desert Dweller By Child Of Wild Tattoos, €27 for four sheets, FlashTat.com

Our favourite ways to wear them
Go loud and proud or keep it subtle, the choice is yours…

1. No need to shell out on new jewellery, just tattoo it on for the day:

2. Go all out and co-ordinate your nails, outfit and other accessories with your tatts:

3. Or stay simple with a tiny arrow or message on your arm, shoulder, wrist or ankle:

Happy tattooing!

It’s been a hectic month for Hilary Duff from signing a record contract to starring in a new television show, but it now seems Hilary could be considering a conversion to Scientology.

The 26-year-old actress has been spotted spending a lot of time with Hollywood’s young Scientology crowd and Hilary has even gotten temporary tattoos, of Scientology symbols on her arms.

The symbol spotted on Hilary’s arm features a small triangle, which is also known as the “ARC” or “Affinity, Reality and Communication” triangle.

This symbol is most frequently used to represent the church of Scientology.

Duff has also become very close to Alanna Masterson, who is a proud advocate of Scientology and also rumoured to have dated Tom Cruise’s son, Connor.

Hilary has spoken passionately before, about her religious beliefs.

“I travel so much and I work so hard, but I have faith in that kind of thing and I pray all the time and I believe in God,”

Many have commented that Hilary could’ve been seeking solace with the Scientology church, after her recent spilt from three year marriage with Mike Comrie.
