Storm Keating may have been born with a model-ready name, but if things had gone differently we'd be calling her something very different indeed.

The Aussie beauty took to Instagram just now to defend herself after some controversy around her "real" name cropped up on 2fm this morning.

During an interview with 2fm's Breakfast Republic host Jennifer Maguire, RTÉ's weather queen Teresa Mannion dropped the bombshell that Storm's real name might not in fact be the one we've always known her by.

"When I was doing Good Morning Australia, the presenters were chatting to me during the break and they were saying, ‘Do you kow Ronan Keating?'” she said, according to Goss.ie.

"He’s married to an Australian’ and I said ‘Oh yeah, Storm’ and they said that’s not her real name. There was a little bit of bitchiness there.”

After some Google sleuthing, Jennifer suggested on air that Storm's name might in fact be (the far less glamourous) Sharyn.

Now, Storm's setting the record straight – yes her first name IS Sharyn, but she's always gone by her middle name.

She even went so far as to post a copy of her birth cert – which does indeed list her name as Sharyn Storm Uechtritz – to prove it.

"My birth certificate for @JenniferMaguire and anyone else who is curious about my name," the model wrote.

"My parents took the name 'Storm' from one of the novels in Wilbur Smith's first trilogy (a famous South African journalist) because they loved it and have called me Storm since I was born.

"They made my first name 'Sharyn' because they were worried that people might make fun of me… turns out they were right.

"The use of middle names is not uncommon," she finished, going on to list other celebs – including Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher, Bruce Willis, Rihanna and Will Ferrell – who've ditched their first names.

If you want to hear more, it might be worth tuning into 2fm tomorrow morning, at least if Jennifer gets her way:

Touché.

Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz tied the knot in a  magical ceremony in Scotland over the weekend, and they've just shared the first personal snap from their big day.

The new Mrs. Keating took some time out from her honeymoon today to post the picture… shortly after updating both her Twitter and Instagram handles to reflect her married name.

The black-and-white snap, which shows Storm and Ronan walking back down the aisle after being officially named husband and wife, is the perfect illustration of the couple's special day. Aussie native Storm looked breathtaking in a bespoke Chantilly lace dress embroidered with silk and organza petals, created by designer Steven Khalil.

"One of my favorite photos from our special day," she wrote. "Can't wait to share more piccies in time but right now we're on our honeymoon woohoo. Just wanted to say thank you to all our Insta-friends for all your lovely comments and wishes. It was the most magical day of our lives and all the love from everyone plays a huge part in what made it so special x Grab HELLO mag to see this one and more."

In view behind the happy couple is Ronan's 17-year-old son Jack, who was best man for his father. Ronan's daughters Missy, 14, and nine-year-old Ali were maid of honour and flower girl respectively.

"It was a perfect day. We always wanted the wedding party to be just us and the kids," Ronan, 38, told HELLO! for the couple's special wedding edition.

"It's so special for me that Storm would want the girls to be by her side."

To see more pictures from the four-day Scottish celebrations, you'll have to stay tuned to Storm's social media feeds… we sense there will be more pictures on the way.

It was the celebrity wedding of the summer: Boyzone star Ronan Keating married TV producer Storm Uechtritz in a glittering four-day celebration in Scotland.

And now the first snaps of their Big Day have emerged – with all eyes being on the 34-year-old bride's stunning dress.

The Aussie-native wore a bespoke Chantilly lace dress embroidered with silk and organza petals. Created by designer Steven Khalil, also an Australian, rather than being stark white the gown sports a soft, warm hue.

With the likes of Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham, as well as Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden all in attendance, the star-factor was always going to be high.

But even Storm herself was uncharacteristically mute when none-other than Ed Sheeran came on to perform during their reception.

In an tell-all interview with HELLO! magazine, which exclusively covered the event, Ronan reveals: "Ed's a good friend and Thinking Out Loud is one of mine and Storm's songs.

"When we all caught up in New York City a couple of months ago, I sounded him out about doing it and he didn't hesitate. I was blown away. He is the most grounded, decent guy in the business and what a talent.

"Storm was speechless when Ed appeared. That doesn't happen often!"

Still, the new Mrs Keating had a surprise of her own for the groom: a customised Land Rover Defender which she presented to him immediately after they said their vows.

Ronan describes the car as "the best present ever".

"I've had a couple of them over the years," he states, "but nothing like this one. She has customised it exactly how I would have done it myself – she knows me so well."

Meanwhile, and away from the trappings of a high-profile celebrity wedding, this was very much a family affair – much like the couple's stag and hen dos

In fact, Ronan's son Jack, 16, was best man at the open-air ceremony, while daughters Missy, 14, and nine-year-old Ali were Maid Of Honour and flower girl respectively.

Even the family's pet pug, Aussie, got in on the action: she was ring-bearer and trotted along a petal-strewn aisle with the wedding rings tied around her neck.

"It was a perfect day. We always wanted the wedding party to be just us and the kids," Ronan, 38, also tells HELLO! "It's so special for me that Storm would want the girls to be by her side.

"I'm so proud and honoured. It means the world."

Ronan goes on to tell how he believes his late bandmate, Stephen Gately, who died in 2009, had a hand in ensuring they were basked in sunshine for the entire celebration.

"I know that my Mam, Steo and Storm's granddad had a hand in making sure the weather was perfect – the one thing that was out of our hands."

You can find out more about Ronan and Storm's wedding day at hellomagazine.com and you can read the full interview with lots more pictures in this week's edition of HELLO! which is out tomorrow. It's also available to download tomorrow via iPad, Android, and Kindle fire.

Hanging out with his baby god son Oscar, getting a massive lion tattooed on his chest… Ed Sheeran's really been making the most of the three-week break in the middle of his X World tour.

But last night he took to the stage yet again, albeit a smaller one than Wembley or Croke Park. The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker surprised guests at Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz's wedding celebrations when he showed up to serenade the newlyweds.

Although Ronan and Storm have yet to post any pictures on social media from their big day, their pal Brian McFadden took to Twitter to reveal what had gone down. "Last night had the best jam ever. @BrianMcFadden @edsheeran @ronanofficial @officialkeith Mikey graham and @shanelynchlife madness," he wrote, before sharing this selfie of himself and Ed.

The singer joined the Boyzone gang (and Brian) on stage for the ultimate pop gathering, but according to one guest the whole thing came as a total surprise. "Ed appeared out of nowhere, everyone was so surprised. He was such a nice guy,” one attendee told Goss.ie.

Ronan also serenaded his new wife from the stage with multiple solo songs, while Irish boyband Lunar entertained guests later in the night.

While the guest list was packed with Ronan's music industry pals, it was his children that took centre stage for his big day. The singer's daughters Missy and Ali were bridesmaids for Storm, while his 17-year-old son Jack was best man.

This marriage will hopefully be second time lucky for Ronan, whose divorce from his wife of 12 years Yvonne was finally made official in March of this year. The singer proposed to Storm just weeks later.

"'We've been together a few years now and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I felt it was the right time," Ronan told Hello! magazine of his decision to propose.

Ronan Keating and his model sweetheart Storm Uechtritz made things official yesterday when they tied the knot at a country ceremony in East Lothian, Scotland.

The highly anticipated wedding took place at the luxury Archerfield House hotel and golf club, just 30 minutes outside the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.

Ronan and Storm's big day was certainly a family affair, with the former Boyzone singer's three children taking centre stage for the proceedings. His daughters Missy and Ali stepped in as bridesmaids for Storm, while his 17-year-old son Jack was best man.

Also present were Ronan's former bandmates Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy, all of whom performed with Ronan later in the night.

Ronan's sister Valerie described the special day as a "happy" one for the whole Keating family, writing, "Such a happy day for our family Incredibly emotional,we <3 @StormUechtritz so happy she is joining the Keating family today @ronanofficial"

The happy couple left their stag and hen dos until the very last minute, with Storm taking her future step-daughters off to Paris over the weekend and Ronan having a golfing "Stag Day" in Stoke with a few select pals.

It's notoriously a time to really let your hair down surrounded by your closest friends: yes, hen and stag weekends have something of a reputation for debauchery and drunken antics.

But Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz are definitely maintaining low-key celebrations in advance of their Monday nuptials in Scotland.

In fact, it is the former Boyzone singer's teenage children who have been tasked with organising the events.

For Storm, that means getting the Eurostar from London to Paris with a dozen friends and family of varying ages. The group, who donned pink Storm's hen lanyards, were this morning all gifted with chic monogrammed Burberry scarves.

They also brought on board with them champagne or lemonade and brunch in wicker baskets from London's famed and oh-so posh Fortnum & Mason

In one Instagram snap, the bride-to-be was eager to thank her stepdaughter-in-waiting, Missy Keating, 14, for organising the particulars. Also visible in the same image is younger sis Ali Keating, nine.

Meanwhile, back in Ireland, Ronan's own bash was underway with thanks to Jack, his 16-year-old son. In an online post, the musician thanked his eldest child – as well as Storm – for pulling together the pre-wedding celebrations.

The accompanying snap also showed lines of brightly-coloured cooler pouches, each with a sticker naming the reciprocate, as well as a row of white gift bags. "The stage is set," the Dubliner said, playfully adding: "This could get messy."

Ronan, 38, popped the question to his 34-year-old Australian girlfriend of three years in April during a tropical trip to Thailand. "We've been together a few years now and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

"I felt it was the right time," he said in a Hello! magazine interview announcing their intention to marry.

Mr Keating also helped design her ring: a stunning oval-shaped diamond set in a diamond-encrusted band.

His divorce to Yvonne Connolly, 41, whom he married in 1999, was finalised earlier this year following their 2011 split.

Ronan's friend Brian McFadden had previously warned that the stag-do "won't be wild". He added in conversation with the Daily Star: "Ronan's stag do will be all red wine and cigars."

Following their lightning-quick engagement, Ronan and Storm will marry on Monday at the luxurious Archfield House estate and golf club in East Lothian.

She has also been married once before – to finance chief Tim Iver.

Their 2011 split may have come in the middle of a storm of rumours that this Irish singer was having an affair, but apparently there are no longer any hard feelings between the two.

Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly finalised their divorce earlier this year and the parents of Jack, Missy and Ali are clearly not at each other throats as some rumours would have had people imagine.

The Boyzone singer, 38, told the Herald that he thinks it is “great” that Yvonne has decided to change her name back to Connolly following their split.

“It’s her decision – it’s great. Good on her,” he told the paper earlier this week .

Ronan appears happy for the public to know that there is no animosity between Yvonne and he and is quite supportive of his former love.

The Celebrity Masterchef contestant is due to marry his girlfriend Stom Uechtritz in Scotland next month and according to Ronan it is set to be a huge family affair.

“All of our families are going to be there – everyone. Rather than doing it in Australia or in Ireland we said we’d go to neutral ground and meet there. It’s a very special place for us.”

Not long to go until I marry this incredible Lady. So exciting. Still can't believe she said Yes !!!! #luckyman

The pop star did admit that it is not all picture perfect between he and the Australian TV producer saying that they don’t always “see eye to eye”.

He continued that he believes “that’s the way couples should be”, and notes that they are both “creatively minded so sometimes we can clash, but there’s nothing but love for each other there.”

As granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Zara Phillips is used to a life in the spotlight.

And while she certainly seems to lead a relatively normal existence with her former rugby player husband, Mike Tindall, and their toddler daughter, Mia Grace – earlier this year she experienced some of the downsides of fame.

In January on a Sydney beach dressed down in shorts and a t-shirt, online commentators called her 'chunky'.

Meanwhile, just last month, the 34-year-old was at the receiving end of numerous pregnancy rumours. Wearing an ill-fitting yellow shift dress to Royal Ascot, the resulting photographs seems to show the hints of a baby bump.

Such was the fervour, in fact, that her publicist was forced to issue a statement saying that Zara was certainly not expecting.

It didn't help, of course, that at the time a streamlined Duchess Kate was looking incredibly slim mere weeks after giving birth to her second child, Princess Charlotte.

Indeed, public comparisons between the two women was almost inevitable.

But while Ms Phillips, an Olympic silver medallist, has never seemed like the type to get upset over the odd bit of bad lighting and or bad angles, turning up at the K Club in Kildare yesterday, she nevertheless looked incredibly fit and slim.

Wearing a tiny black playsuit and black strappy sandals, the mother-of-one looked stunning posing alongside Mike.

The high-profile duo jetted into Ireland to attend the swish Marks & Spencer Ireland Marie Keating Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic.

Now in its 16th year, the event is definitely one of the highlights of the golfing calendar – and certainly always attracts an A-list crowd.

Raising much-needed funds for the cancer foundation, the likes of actors Dougray Scott and Stephen Graham, rugby legend Shane Byrne, and former footballers Ian Wright and Ronnie Whelan were all spotted on the famed Kildare course.

Also in attendance was Ronan Keating and his fiancee Storm Uechtritz, Keith Duffy, who brought along his handsome son Jay, stylist Suzanne Goggins, and Chanel marketing manager Ciara Hughes Dunleavy.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception followed by a four-course meal in The Arnold Palmer Room with wine and champagne from M&S.

Entertainment was provided by comedian Stan Boardman and singer Cole Page.

Brothers Ronan and Gary Keating also hosted an auction with items such as golf merchandise signed by Rory McIlroy going under the hammer to raise funds for the worthy cause.

Ronan Keating is a very lucky man, not only is his wife-to-be a beautiful model, she is also related to royalty.

His fiancee, Storm Uechtritz, is related to Prince William through Frederick Louis of Wales, the son of George II. Storm is Prince William's seventh cousin, while George and Charlotte are her seventh cousins, once removed.

Well that sounds a bit confusing…

We expect Storm and Ronan were extra excited to hear about the birth of the second royal baby, Charlotte. The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her adorable daughter over the weekend.

Mail Online have reported that Ronan is "proud" to be joining a family with such "incredible heritage".

They have also reported that Frederick Louis' daughter Caroline Matilda married into the Danish royal family in 1766. Storm's great-grandfather was her illegitimate grandson Richard Parkinson, and he married a Samoan princess and lived in Papua New Guinea.

Woah, now that is what you call family history.

Ronan and Storm only recently confirmed their engagement. The Australian beauty had been dating Ronan for three years before he popped the question.

Huge congrats are in order for former Boyzone star Ronan Keating this morning as he has confirmed his engagement to his long-time girlfriend Storm Uechtritz.

The pair announced their happy news with a Hello! magazine spread featuring some gorgeous shots of them both – just look at that ring:

Ronan Keating and his girlfriend Storm Uechtritz have co-written a screenplay for a romantic drama – not only that, but they’re also hoping to get the ball rolling on a TV project they’ve been working on!

Ronan will be the producer but he says he won’t be acting in it. Perhaps this is just as well since his last film Goddess was a bit of a flop.

That being said, he IS going to be performing on the West End stage, now that’s he’s joined the musical Once. He says people are taking his acting ambitions more seriously now:

“I think people are starting to have faith in me a bit more, which is nice.”

Awh, that is nice Ronan. Good for you!
