Queen Bey has unveiled the music video for Spirit, which features in Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King, and boy is it powerful.

The actress and singer lends her voice to the character of Nala in the movie, directed by Jon Favreau and featuring talents like Donald Glover, John Oliver, Seth Rogan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, JD McCrary and James Earl Jones.

Beyoncé told ABC News's Robin Roberts that the video's concept is “to show how God is the painter and natural beauty in nature needs no art direction."

She added; “It’s the beauty of colour, the beauty of melanin, the beauty of tradition.”

Clips from The Lion King are interspersed within the video, which sees the icon sitting in the desert wearing an array of colourful gowns.

Her seven-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, also makes a cameo in Spirit, looking every inch the image of her stunning mum.

Spirit is just one song off Beyonce’s The Lion King: The Gift album, which accompanies the film. Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams also add their talents to The Gift.

Mood 4 Eva contains the vocal talents of hip-hop legend Jay-Z while Brown Skin Girl sees Blue Ivy add her voice.

Beyoncé described the soundtrack as a “love letter to Africa, adding: “And I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it."

She continued; “I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”

Beyonce confirmed that drums will be used heavily on the work, as well as “incredible new sounds mixed with some of the producers from America”.

The Lion King: The Gift will be released on July 19, alongside the film landing in cinemas. Watch the awe-inspiring video for Spirit below, and try not to gasp at every outfit change like we did;

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter was noticeably absent from The Lion King official trailers, so we're especially happy to get a closer look of what Nala looks like.

The 37-year-old singer stars alongside Donald Glover, who plays the lead role of Simba, and recorded a duet of Can You Feel The Love Tonight? with the musical actor.

During an appearance on Crooked Media's Keep It podcast, Billy Eichner teased Beyoncé's performance, saying:

"She’s definitely in the movie because I’ve seen a rough cut. And I’ve heard her sing Can You Feel the Love Tonight? with Donald Glover and I’m telling you, it’s f**cking good."

The new film uses cutting-edge technology to create the live-action characters, which look incredibly life-like.

The highly-anticipated movie is directed by Jon Favreau with a script from Jeff Nathanson, who previously wrote Catch Me If You Can starring Leonardo DiCaprio for Steven Spielberg.

Opening in cinemas on July 19, the cast is also led by James Earl Jones as the original Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogan voicing Pumpaa and John Oliver as Zazu.

The original 1994 animated film was a box office smash, with an initial worldwide gross of 766 million dollars.

Those 50 days of waiting can't go by quick enough. The countdown for The Circle of Life is ON.

Disney is seriously committed to making live-action, updated versions of their classic cartoon flicks.

The Lion King is the next up and coming Disney live-action to hit our screens, and though it won't be here until 2019, there are already rumours circulating about who will be joining the cast of animal characters.

Actors and comedians Seth Rogen and Billy Eichn are reported to be in final talks with Disney to voice the iconic duo Timon and Pumbaa, according to The Wrap

The pair are set to give new life to the unlikely duo, made of up a bemusing warthog and smart-mouthed meerkat, which first came to fame in the original film in 1994.

Neither actor has commented on the exciting development, but fans are already delighted about the casting.

The movie is officially scheduled for release on July 19 2019, and after the huge success of Beauty and the Beast, we can't wait to see the upcoming remake of Simba's journey.

As long as The Circle of Life is still involved, we'll be happy.

There’s bromance, and then there’s BROMANCE. Seth Rogen and James Franco definitely fall into the latter category if these recent photos are anything to go by.

The men who brought us the raunchy parody of Kanye and Kim’s collaboration, 'Bound 2', have stripped off yet again and gotten ‘physical’ for an episode of the Discovery Channel series Naked and Afraid.

Having agreed to live in the wilderness without food, clothes or supplies, the pair who have been friends since the 90’s, met in the outback and hugged like any pair of nude friends who have found themselves in the Australian wilderness. Awkwardly.

Commenting on the situation, funny man Seth said: “I was hoping to be teamed up with a woman but I guess Franco is the next best thing. He's pretty much hairless, if you take your glasses off he's pretty much a woman."

James isn’t much more impressed by Seth, saying: “You're meant to be a hot, Australian-like survivalist."

The pair got over their disappointment pretty quickly though and were soon seen engaging in a rather bizarre naked dance with Seth explaining that “it’s getting all the looking out of the way”.

TV not to be missed, clearly!

James Franco and Seth Rogan’s new film The Interview is about the USA trying to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and not surprisingly, North Koreans are not best pleased.

A North Korean spokesperson said: “[this] shows the desperation of the US government and American society.”

Kim Jong Un has condemned the film, but Rogan is not phased. He tweeted “Apparently Kim Jong Un plans on watching #TheInterview. I hope he likes it!!”

We can’t imagine that American’s would be too happy either if North Korea made a similar film about Obama!

Comedy actor and director Seth Rogan has shared his views on marriage, and said some really sweet things about his wife in the process!

Seth was talking about the way marriage is typically portrayed in Hollywood, and how that’s totally different from his own experience.

The actor swears his new movie, Bad Neighbours, will portray a marriage that you’ll actually want to root for!

Seth revealed how his wife was not happy with the original portrayal of Rose – who plays his wife in the movie.

“In early drafts of the script, she was cast aside as the naggy wife who was kind of trying to stop me and my friends from messing with the frat and having fun,” he said.

Seth’s real-life wife Lauren Miller read the script, and had a thing or two to say about the role.

“She’s one of the people who was like, ‘This isn’t how it would be. We get along, A., I want to have fun, too,'” said Seth. “And then as we started talking about it, that actually became the most exciting idea of the movie to us, really, is that we could portray a couple where the wife was just as fun-loving and irresponsible as the guy, and that they got along really well.

“In a comedy, that is almost nonexistent: an actual healthy couple that really likes each other.”

“With me and my wife, that’s the easiest part of my life is my marriage. Like if everything was as smooth and easy and fun as my relationship with my wife, then I would have a much easier time getting through the day. We really get along, and we like the same stuff,” he said.

Zac Efron wants a High School Musical movie return!

And he wants his Bad Neighbours co-star Seth Rogan to produce it.

The 26-year-old actor starred as Troy Bolton in the movie musical franchise, and he insists he is still proud of the role that brought him to global fame.

”I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for High School Musical. I love every fan. And to this day, I sign more High School Musical stuff than anything else. Would I do another? Absolutely,” he said.

”Getting High School Musical was a dream come true. I wasn’t always good at singing and dancing. I was horrible at it until I started training every day. But I loved doing it. I love any challenge,” Zac added.

If Zac does return to the role, he wants Seth Rogen to be the movie’s producer.

He said recently, ”I wish Seth could produce every film I’m in, he kind of just takes the lead he is always setting the pace and the tone for everybody.”
