If you ever fancied yourself to be a Riverdance performer, then this could be your moment.

It has been announced that Riverdance is looking to add to its troop and is holding open call auditions for Irish dancers from April 12 -14.

The auditions will take place in the Red Cow Moran Hotel, but it's not just Riverdance you'll be auditioning for, they're also looking for people to join Heartbeat of Home.

The open call will coincide with the World Irish Dance Championships for handiness sake, so it's certainly looking to be an exciting weekend.

Riverdance will perform in Dublin's Gaiety Theatre from June 21 – September 3, before touring internationally.

So, if you think you have what it takes to join this phenomenal crew, now is definitely your time.

Michael Flatley has broken his silence on Lord of the Dance performing at the US presidential election today in Washington DC.

The dancing troupe will take to the stage this evening at the Liberty Ball as Donald Trump becomes the 45th US president.

And while Michael won't be up there doing a jig himself, he told the Irish Independent that it is "a great honour" for him.

“We have performed for many presidents. It is always a great honour to be asked.

“This is a very special night and it is a great honour to be invited to be part of it.”
