There are some crackin' events coming to Dublin in August, but the end of summer has brought an alcohol-free initiative in The Stella Theatre that is most definitely catching our eye.

'Sip and See' is part of the Peroni Libera Series, featuring the Italian brand's first new non-alcoholic beer; Peroni Libera 0.0%.

'Libera' translates to 'free' in Italian, and it means that you can have the freedom to choose a 0% alcohol beer or opt for the regular Peroni if you're looking to let loose.

To celebrate the new drink, Peroni are hosting a series of stylish, alcohol-free, monthly social events this summer called the Peroni Libera Series, where you can enjoy chilled out get-togethers with old friends or new acquaintances.

Next week's 'Sip and See' takes place in the Stella Theatre in Rathmines on Wednesday, August 7. Guest can enjoy some Italian cicchetti bites when you arrive, including bruschetta, arancini and Italian cured meats and cheese,

Sit back and enjoy Baz Luhrmann’s iconic take on the Italian love story of Romeo + Juliet, featuring Leonardo Di Caprio from back in the day, and Claire Danes. Those comfy Stella seats can't be missed.

With a stunning flavour of fresh citrusy hops, the beer will be oh so satisfying but without the hangover. To find out more, head to houseofperoni.com.

If you love pizza, pasta, ciabatta and focaccia, then this pop-up market is perfect for you.

Coming to Meeting House Square in Temple Bar at the end of the month is The House Of Peroni Presents: La Primavera.

On Thursday March 30 and Friday March 31, La Primavera will bring the taste of Italy to Dublin, with some of the city's finest restaurants taking part.

As well as food from fab eateries, there will also be stalls with fresh food and vegetables, baked goods and plenty of booze.

There will be a special cocktail to try over the two days which wil be made from "Peroni Nastro Azzurro, gin, dry Martini, elderflower cordial, chamomile and thyme syrup, orange blossom and lemon juice," and our mouths are literally drooling right now.

When you think of cocktails, a lot of flavours come to mind, but now there’s a new one to add to the list… and it’s a little unconventional.

Beer cocktails are taking the world of mixology by storm, and we headed along to the Peroni Nastro Azzuro Creative Evening at Dublin’s Candle Bar recently to find out more.

A dash of beer not only adds a gorgeous hoppy flavour to your drink, but it also gives carbonation and texture. The light aroma of Peroni works perfectly with tangy fruits like lemon, grapefruit and strawberry.

Mixologist Feredrico Riezzo whipped us up a selection of gorgeous drinks on the night, including the Peroni Spritz (featuring grapefruit juice, Aperol, and Prosecco) and the Peroni Strawberry Fields (with mint, lemon juice, strawberries and sugar).

As for an easy DIY beer cocktail, Federico recommends trying a twist on the classic shandy by adding apple juice and lemon juice to your Peroni. Yum!

Of course, creativity comes in many forms and also showing off their skills on the night were milliner Laura Kinsella and industrial design studio Designgoat.
