Ah, Galentine's Day. Our saviour from the horrors of Valentine's Day, AKA the only day of the year where showing love and men being romantic is socially acceptable.

Whether companies are using female friendships as a marketing tool or not is a WHOLE other discussion.

For now, we're just gonna bring Leslie Knope vibes for 2019's Galentine's Day, which falls the day before Valentine's Day, and celebrates the power of galpals.

Of course, you don't need to be single to celebrate the special day that is Galentine's; You can snatch all them sexy roses from your boo and high five your ladypals at the same time.

We'd be pretty nervous to ask Arnold Schwarzenegger anything, tbh. Have you seen the size of him? He may be 70 but he's no old-age-pensioner, that's for sure.

Chris Pratt has opened up to Extra about his nerves when it came to approaching The Terminator for his blessing to marry his daughter, Katherine.

The 39-year-old admitted he was 'a little nervous', but was determined to go things the traditional way.

The intimidating Predator star, now Chris' future father-in-law, was approached by Chris shortly before he proposed to Katherine during the New Year.

The Jurassic Park actor spoke about his appreciation for the conventional method of engagement and marriage;

"Well, I think any person who appreciates the tradition and asks a father for his daughter’s hand in marriage, it’s inevitably something that’s going to make you a little nervous. ‘But that’s sort of the beauty of it."

Luckily for Chris, Arnold already thinks he's 'fantastic', and sang his praises last week.

"That was really fantastic. She is so happy, they both are so happy. As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris — he’s fantastic." He added: "Chris is a wonderful guy. They both look really great together, they’re both happy together, so I wish them both the best of luck.’"

Chris announced their engagement at the beginning of 2019, saying he was 'so happy' that his future wife said yes.

Speaking to US Weekly about the ceremony, the actor shared: "A little, you know, maybe fall, winter kind of thing and you know, we’ve got a lot to get done."

He was previously married to actress Anna Faris, but they officially divorced in 2018. He has been with Katherine Schwarzenegger for a few months, and the pair are clearly in love.

Pratt and Faris only finalised their divorce three months ago following eight years of marriage.

The Jurassic World star shared the happy news yesterday morning with a photo of Katherine wearing a stunning diamond engagement ring, captioning the the adorable snap:

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"

Classy as ever, Faris commented on Chris' Instagram post, writing; "I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!" She took the high road, for sure, we wouldn't be this mature.

The Hollywood actor's Marvel co-stars all shared their warm wishes, including Tom Holland, Karen Gillan and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Katherine’s mother Maria Shriver who added: "Congratulations to two loving kind caring thoughtful spiritual people we are so happy for you you are blessed as is everyone who knows you yes let’s go."

For Katherine's birthday in December, the former Parks & Recreation actor posted a gorgeous montage of photos with the message;

"Happy Birthday Chief! Your smile lights up the room. I’ve cherished our time together. Thrilled God put you in my life. Thankful for the laughs, kisses, talks, hikes, love and care."

He was first romantically linked to Katherine in Father's Day of last June, and the couple have been going strong ever since.

Faris and Pratt share a six-year-old son together, and the Overboard actress is currently dating Michael Barrett.

You go gal; you're a classier woman than us.

There is heartbreaking news for the cast and crew of Parks and Recreation today after co-executive producer and some-time actor of the show, Harris Wittels has passed away.

The 30-year-old was found by his assistant at his home yesterday following what is believed to have been an overdose.

Star of the much-loved show, Amy Poehler, yesterday took time to honour her friend at Variety’s unite4humanity event, saying:

“Today, I lost a friend. I lost a dear, young friend in my life who was struggling with addiction. “I’m sharing it with you because life and death live so close together, and we walk that fine line everyday.  When things happen in our lives, we turn to the people that we love…and we lean on people, in a hope that we will ease our pain. So, I don’t really feel like telling any jokes. I’m kind of sad, and it’s really great to be here tonight and listen to all of you, and listen to the great work that you do and be reminded why we live in this bizarre planet called Hollywood. It’s very strange.”

Harris also played one of the hilarious animal control workers in the show.

Tributes have been pouring in for the young and very talented producer, only days away from the Parks and Recreation series finale on the 24th February.

Our thoughts are with Harris’ friends and family at this tragic time.
