Being young and naive, you were bound to make a few mistakes when it came to your beauty regime. Thankfully, we can all laugh about it now… sort of!

Using an iron to straighten your hair
Before hair straighteners became popular and less expensive, the trusty iron was the only way to straighten our hair. If you ever went down this road, you no doubt remember lying with your hair on the ironing board as someone basically ironed the creases out of it. We don’t recommend you do this now – there were plenty of burning incidents.

Using bronzer everywhere
For those of us who had naturally pale Irish skin, bronzer was our best friend. In fact, we loved it so much we liberally applied it all over our face. Yes, all over.

Wearing lots of foundation
Nowadays make-up is all about enhancing your natural beauty – but, unfortunately, this wasn’t always the case. Growing up, it was about caking your face in make-up and using as much foundation as possible.

Bad hair dye
Unless you were one of the lucky ones, you were bound to have had at least one bad hair dyeing incident. Getting blonde hair out of a packet?  Sure why not.

Eyeliner without mascara
Yes, we cringe now but it did happen…
