no doubt

Gwen Stefani is the woman to watch at the moment.

Not only has she spent the last year being a kick-ass coach on The Voice, she's also getting ready to debut her new album AND she's found love again with Blake Shelton.

But the band that made her, No Doubt, has indefinitely replaced her with a dude.

Yep. Who's going to sing Like A Girl now, huh?

The guy they have replaced her with is frontman to screamo band AFI, Davey Havok, reports Billboard.

Davey, along with the original band members, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young have already recorded an LP and are looking around for labels to sign them.

We don't know about you, but a Gwen-less No Doubt sounds sorta weird. We guess the truth will be told when they release new music.

One Direction have said goodbye (FOR NOW) to their boyband days, and while their hiatus has officially begun, many fans are not feeling optimistic.

But fear not! Because here are five other bands that survived their hiatus and came back as kickass as ever:

1. No Doubt

Believe it or not, No Doubt formed in California, way back in 1986 and are somehow still going strong today. They have had decades of success, but that doesn't mean they didn't have their bad times.

In 2004, the band took a break so Gwen could release her own album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. They bounced back together in 2008, and then announced their second hiatus in 2013. And yet, nearly 30 years later (!!!) No Doubt are touring together again.

2. Backstreet Boys

Sadly, most of the early 2000s boybands are a thing of the past (NYSYNC, you'll always be in our hearts), but the Backstreet Boys just keep on coming back for more.

The guys have taken several hiatuses over the years but are currently working on their ninth studio album.

3. Fall Out Boy

Pete and they boys took their hiatus back in 2009 and then came back together in 2013 to release Save Rock And Roll, their fifth studio album.

And they haven't stopped since then, with many of their songs featuring big pop artists like Demi Lovato and Avril Lavigne.

4. Blink 182

All the pop-punk fans out there will know Blink 182 have had many ups and downs. In 2005, Tom DeLonge decided he was finished with the band and their label issued a statement announcing Blink's "indefinite hiatus."

Then in 2009, the band came back together again for a reunion tour and in 2011, released a full-length album called Neighbourhoods. But in 2015, Tom decided he was done again.

5. Foo Fighters

Dave Grohl might not let a broken leg get in the way, but any Foo Fighter fans will know the group have had their fair amount of breaks back in the day.

And as it turns out, after the band released their free EP, Saint Cecilia, in November, they officially took on a hiatus. But we're sure they'll be back soon.

We've only just recovered from the accusation that Ben Affleck had become a little too close to the 'help,' when along comes another, explosive revelation.

This time under the spotlight is Gavin Rossdale – the now estranged rocker spouse of Gwen Stefani.

Yes, numerous US sources are claiming that the Bush lead-singer conducted a THREE-year long affair with the couple's nanny… "right under Ms Stefani's nose," claims US Weekly specifically.

Understandably, the No Doubt star was said to be furious in the aftermath – immediately pulling the plug on her 13-year marriage.

US Weekly goes on to report that Ms Stefani, 46, became aware of her husband’s affair with their longtime nanny, Mindy Mann, back in February.

She seemingly discovered that he had sent explicit texts to Ms Mann via the family’s iPad: including naked photos and intimate plans to meet up for sex.

“The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone,” a family insider told the magazine. “One of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen.”

As for the rocker himself, he is said to have initially claimed that the exchange was merely a “flirtation” before admitting the three-year affair to his wife a few months later.

The 50-year-old rocker’s confession “completely devastated her,” the source added. “She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed.”

The couple has three sons: Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 20 months with the affair supposedly taking place while Gwen was pregnant with their youngest.

Cosmetics brand Urban Decay broke records earlier this year for their Naked Smoky Palette, with 8,000 fans on the waiting list in Ireland alone.

But a new Urban Decay collection has just been announced, and we reckon it's going to have more of a cult following than any Naked palette ever did.

The edgy cosmetics house have teamed up with none other than Gwen Stefani for a brand new limited-edition make-up line, set to launch in late November.

The UD x GWEN STEFANI collection was co-designed by Gwen herself and the company's founded Wende Zomner, a long-time No Doubt fan.

The pair first collaborated earlier this year on a charity initiative called The Ultraviolet Edge, donating money to organisations that empower women.

"I remember hearing the song Just a Girl… and I remember thinking to myself, 'That girl is so cool. It would be really cool to work with her someday,'" Wende said at a UD x GWEN STEFANI press event this week. "It took 19 years, but it happened."

Gwen is said to have worked closely with Wende for the new (top-secret) collection, "talking makeup and working with her on EVERY detail of this launch—from the packaging to the formulation to the shades."

While no details of the line have been released yet, we're certain it will contain a bold red lipstick á la Gwen:

Though the collection will launch online in late November, it won't officially reach Irish stores until December, at which point it will be available for purchase in Debenhams and House of Fraser.

We're already WAY too excited.
