Cha-Ching! There has been one winner of last night's lotto jackpot draw.

The winner is set to receive the whopping €2.4 million prize.

The numbers drawn were 7, 19, 20, 32, 34, and 43 with a bonus number of 45.

The winning ticket was sold in Dublin.

Luck is clearly on the side of the Dubs, as the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot ticket was also sold in the capital.

The Lotto Plus 1 Jackpot is worth a huge €500,000.

We'll be dreaming of what we could do with that kind of cash for the rest of the day…

Someone on our Emerald Isle has the best Paddy's Day ever after scooping an astonishing cash prize of €500,000.

"There was one winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize. The winning ticket was sold in the South East," said the National Lottery.

The winning numbers are 01, 04, 10, 20, 28.

No one walked away with the absolute whopper of a €17,000,000 prize in last night's EuroMillions jackpot.

Hopefully the ticket wasn't lost in the Saint Patrick's Day festivities!

We have mild palpitations every time we splash out on a Lotto ticket and while we've never won ANYTHING so far, we know, deep down, that the next time could be different.

For one couple from Dublin, however, scooping big on the National Lottery has simply become part and parcel of married life. (Yeah, we know.)

Last Saturday marked the pair's ninth big win when they netted a whopping €113,661 after matching five numbers and the bonus ball in the weekend's draw

While they have matched five numbers each time they won, the prize money has gotten substantially bigger over the years, with the husband saying: "When you consider that the first time we matched five numbers we won a hundred pounds."

The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, said: "Since the start of the lotto, we have matched five numbers nine times and we’re not giving up on the jackpot just yet. We are getting closer and closer to the jackpot."

The generous pair are more than happy to spread the wealth, and told the press that they plan to donate money to local charities as well as an African children's charity.

We wonder if they'd be open to a syndicate…

Why must everything we love have to hurt us this way?

Just when you were getting the hang of those pesky new lotto changes, they have announced that next month they are bringing in even more changes.

In addition to adding two extra numbers to the selection grid which means that your odds of winning have been altered. Significantly. Once upon a time you might have thought that it was bound to be your turn to scoop up the jackpot.

Now you might be waiting quite a while; customers have a one in 11 million chance to win.

Not only that, but the price is set to increase as well. Next week the usual minimum play will jump from €3 to €4 for two lines.

This would mean that your usual two line quick-pick (or the ‘lucky dip’ as some are known to call it) will come to €5.

We can see many a shop assistant being inundated with queries over the coming weeks. Remember when they started to introduce the seasonal Winning Streak tickets?

The National Lottery have announced the changes today after researching lotto plays and stated their findings have indicated “it’s time for change”.

You will have some times to prepare yourselves, and make some allowances for you budget if you’re a regular customer. The first Lotto draw with the new prices and numbers will take place on 5 September 2015.
