Ed Sheeran might be our one and only, but when it comes to style, Ruby Rose wins out.

The stars co-hosted at the MTV European Music Awards in Milan last night, taking to the stage at the Mediolanum Forum in front of a crowd of thousands.

Ruby won the audience over from thirty seconds in when she welcomed "ladies, gentlemen… and everyone in between" in her opening speech, after wowing on the red carpet in this stunning Armani Prive look, complete with a cane.

As for Ed, it was hard to tell if his cheeky humour and rambling monologues were the result of nerves or a few too many backstage drinks:

Performers on the night included Jason Derulo, Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding – and Ed himself who sang his new track with Rudimental.

Of course, it wouldn't be the EMA's without a LOT of costume changes, and Ruby didn't disappoint – here's a selection of her other looks.

This spaghetti-themed dress was in honour of World Pasta Day – it was an Italian venue after all.

Then came this AH-MAZING white pantsuit with point-toed stilettos:

Followed by this black ball gown with lip embellishments that even brought Ed to his knees:

Another winner was this white-and-red Grecian look, complete with killer motorcycle boots:

And to finish things off, our favourite look of the night – leather, leather, leather.

Gorgeous!

First Home and Away, now MTV… Ed Sheeran is making his mark in the world of television.

The Thinking Out Loud singer has confirmed he'll be presenting the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards later this month in Milan – a pretty prestigious gig for someone who's just starting out.

So happy to say I’m hosting the #MTVEMAs on 25th October! Cannot wait. mtvema.com

With four EMA nominations himself this year for X, Ed might have to do some juggling between presenting and accepting, but luckily he'll have a co-presenter to take the heat off him.

The English star will be joined on stage in Milan by none other than Orange Is The New Black's Ruby Rose.

Not the first person we'd have paired with him (surely his new bestie Beyoncé should have had a look in?) but all the same, we're sure they'll be a good match.

Ruby announced the news via Twitter last night, posting a pretty bizarre snap of herself and Ed surrounded by butterflies, flaming roses and a rabbit with a gas mask. Standard.

Previous MTV EMA presenters include Eva Longoria, Selena Gomez, Heidi Klum, RedFoo and Nick Minaj – wonder if Ed has a costume like this planned?

We'll have to wait and see on October 25…

Nicki Minaj pretty much stole the show at last night's EMAs, which she hosted live from Glasgow.

The Pink Friday singer took to the stage in a gravity-defying entrance, floating 14ft off the floor in a flowing grey gown.

In standard Nicki style, the star managed to curse within seconds of opening her mouth, shouting "What the f*** is up Glasgow? It’s November and it’s the EMAs. Sit back, relax and get ready to turn the f*** up." She later apologised (kinda), saying "I'm sorry if I cursed, but I am Nicki Minaj."

Viewers were treated to a total of EIGHT outfit changes, including a skintight sheer jumpsuit and a tiny white dress which showed off an equally tiny white thong underneath. We wouldn't expect anything less from Nicki!

Fans were hopeful that One Direction might make a surprise appearance after winning three awards on the night, but sadly the lads only showed up via video link. Boring!

As well as performing her new song, Bed of Lies, host Nicki went native with a Scottish-themed rap, including lines from The Proclaimers' song, I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles). And, if that wasn't enough, she finished things off with a Super Bass/Anaconda medley.

Ariana Grande made a stellar effort to hog the limelight for her performances of Problem and Break Free in a skintight leotard, but we reckon Nicki still won the night hands down!

Could we have a new Beyoncé on our hands? We reckon so, if this diva pose is anything to go by!
