We know that it's impossible to say what's "normal" when it comes to the human body, as the best part of life is that we're all different.

But we still found this new information very interesting – and we reckon we're not the only ones!

Researchers in the UK have revealed the average male penis size after correlating the results of over 15,000 men.

So what's the verdict?

The "average" penis is 5.2 inches in length when erect, and 3.6 inches the rest of the time, according to the study. As for girth, the average penis measures 4.6 inches around when erect, and 3.7 inches when not.

The figures should hopefully "reassure the large majority of men that the size of their penis is in the normal range," according to the researchers behind the data.

The new results are being plotted onto graphs which it's hoped can be used to help doctors work with men who have anxiety disorders relating to their body image or penis size.

As for men with abnormally large or small penises? The study reveals that they are very much in the minority, with just 2.28% of the male population having unusually small measurements, and the same percentage applying to men with overly large measurements.

So there you have it – but we all know it's quality over quantity anyway, ladies!
