Grab your gals, your Ma and your aunties, because the feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! will return to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin for a four week run from December 10 2019 – January 5 2020 as part of a UK and International Tour celebrating 20 years since MAMMA MIA! premiered in London in April 1999.

From West End to global phenomenon, MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with a sunny, funny tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads unfolding on a Greek island idyll.

To date, it has been seen by over 60 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages.

In 2011 it became the first Western musical ever to be staged in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China.

MAMMA MIA! became the 8th longest running show in Broadway history where it played a record-breaking run for 14 years. MAMMA MIA! continues to thrill audiences in London’s West End at the Novello Theatre where it will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on April 6 2019.

The hugely successful first International Tour premiered in Dublin in September 2004 and visited 85 cities across 38 countries, selling over 5 million tickets over nine years.

Produced by Judy Craymer, MAMMA MIA! The Movie became the highest grossing live action musical film of all time upon its release in 2008.  A second film, MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN, opened in July 2018 and is the most successful live musical movie sequel of all time.

Judy Craymer, Creator and Producer of MAMMA MIA!, said: “We are very excited that MAMMA MIA! will be returning to Dublin once again. It is a big year for the show as we celebrate 20 years in the West End and we are so thrilled that Dublin will be a part of the celebrations. We can’t wait to bring the feel-good story and much-loved music of ABBA back to the wonderful audiences in Dublin.”

'One taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain'

The now iconic lyrics of Ariana Grande's new HELLA SPICY self-love song that has shaken the globe.

The tune features lines about her last four serious ex-boyfriends: Ricky Alvarez, Mac Miller, Big Sean and of course, Pete Davidson.

TBH we all expected her to shrow some (lamp) shade all around, especially seeing as Pete Davidson recently made a far-too-soon joke about their engagement, but Ari took the highest road of all, and said 'Thank you, next' to immaturity.

She's a far bigger person than we are, morally, that's for sure.

We've taken the liberty to dig up the most hilarious 'Thank You, next' memes on the net, and boy have we hit the jackpot of comedy. Buckle up, lads.

1. Shrek is love, Shrek is life. Apparently Ariana Grande fans concur with this statement? Who knew.

2. The twist on the most famous line from Notting Hill, and possibly one of the greatest Hugh Grant rom-com quotes, was tweeted by Ari herself. Though who would shrug off Julia Roberts?

3. Sam Carmichael, Harry Bright and Bill Austin teaching us love, patience and pain… Mamma Mia just had to be included on this list didn't it?

4. The sequel has inspired some of the greatest of all time (GOAT) memes, and it wasn't left out in this occasion either:

 5. Detective Hopper from Stranger Things (DK Harbour) absolutely annihilated the world's fandom feels with a single Instagram post=

NOT. ABLE.

6. This one any gal can relate to:

Pretty much just constant pain though… let's not lie to ourselves.

7. What romantic triple threat could skip the Gilmore Girls? Those boys had our hearts, Jess was always our personal fave but WE LOVED THEM ALL. Who are we kidding?

8. Some gas folks out there decided to create a pun on Ariana's 'ex' and transform it somehow into an X-Men reference…

9. Milk politics was then brought into the equation (yep, really), where the eternal battle between dairy milk, oat milk and almond milk rages on=

10. Let us never forget the three brothers who raised us through the Disney years=

11. Last, but by all means not least, the Harry Potter edition featuring Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley and Harry=

Those boys had us feeling all kinds of emotions, much like Ari's entire new album, Sweetener.

In light of everything Queen Grande been through over the last few years, Ariana makes sure to confirm to her fans that the most important relationship she has is with herself.

She's dead right, we say. As Ru Paul affirms: "If you can't love yourself, how the hell are you gonna love anyone else?"

God is a woman, but these memes need their own religion.

I have a confession to make… I have seen Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again three times. I know, I know, there are so many incredible movies out at the moment, but there’s something about this cheesy film that I just can’t resist.

Sure, it is pretty cringe-worthy and goofy, but the touching storyline of Sophie and her family trying to cope with the loss of Donna really tugs at your heart strings.

Seeing the adventures of young Donna unfold on screen was really moving and extremely enjoyable because I was madly in love with the three actors playing young Sam, Bill and Harry.

Okay, maybe the main reason I keep going to see this film is Josh Dylan, but it is also the friendship, the setting (take me to Greece now, please) and glorious duo that is Julie Walters and Christine Baranski.

I promised myself I wouldn’t go see the movie a fourth time, however, when I spotted this upcoming event I broke that promise instantly.

The Lighthouse Cinema is hosting a sing-along screening of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and I will without a doubt be there singing (badly) along to every single word of every single song.

“One of the most popular films of Summer 2018 returns for a one day only Sing-Along event! Not that you'll need any encouragement singing ABBA songs but feel free to give it loads.”

“Get ready to sing and dance, laugh and love all over again.”

The screening takes place on September 16 and tickets are available here.

This is the dream musical event. What else would you do on a Sunday evening other than sing (badly) along to Waterloo and stuff your face with popcorn?

There are so many things I ADORED about Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. The feel-good musical inspired by the music of ABBA was everything I wanted and more.

A post shared by Lily James (@lilyjamesofficial) on

I was surprised by just how good the soundtrack was considering they sang most of ABBA's greatest hits in the original film. However, it's been a week since I first watched the movie and Cher’s version of Fernando is still stuck in my head.

One thing that really stood out for me (apart from young Bill aka the man of my dreams) was the young Donna’s style.

The main focus of the movie was young Donna’s journey from graduate to mum, but I couldn’t help but swoon over her outfits. Her quirky boho style was simple, but striking.

Obviously, we’d never get away with wearing outfits like Donna's here in Ireland- thanks rain- but I thought I’d gather up some of the nicest pieces inspired by young Donna.

Sure, it may not be sunny enough to rock these looks in reality, but you can wear them, stick on the soundtrack and pretend you’re frolocking around a Greek island in the 1970s.

Sundays are all fun and games until reality hits and you have to get yourself organised for another week of work. The Sunday night fear is something we all experience, but fear not, we have the perfect solution that is bound to lift your spirits tonight.

If anything is going to bring a smile to yourself tonight it’s a musical. Sometimes all you need is to curl up on the sofa and watch Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Amanda Seyfried sing and dance to ABBA’s greatest hits.

Forget about your 6am start and watch Donna and the Dynamos shimmy to Dancing Queen. Ignore the fact that you have a mountain of unwashed dishes in the sink and prance around your living room to Voulez Vous. Boost your ego by listening to Pierce Brosnan singing SOS (God loves a trier.)

RTÉ 1 are making our Sunday night a hell of a lot better by showing Mamma Mia at 9.30 pm tonight.

The movie is one of our all time favourites. We know it’s cheesy, but it’s the ultimate feel-good movie.

Mamma Mia is a musical/rom-com that will make your heart feel warm, leave your sides hurting from laughing and turn you into a blubbering mess all within the space of 109 minutes.

It follows the story of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) who has grown up not knowing who her father was, but as her wedding day approaches, she wants her dad to be there to give her away.

She takes matters into her own hands and invites her mum's (Meryl Streep) three former lovers- Harry (Colin Firth), Bill (Stellan Skarsgard) and Sam (Pierce Brosnan)- to the wedding. One of the three men is her father, and Sophie believes if she gets to know them she’ll find out who her dad is.

Mamma Mia is on RTÉ1 tonight at 9.30 pm.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be released in Irish cinemas on July 20, 2018 – and we're excited.

The final trailer for the feel-good movie has just been released and to say that we’re excited is an understatement.

The sequel will see many familiar faces return including Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters. There have also been new additions to the cast with Lily James starring as Donna (Meryl Streep) during her younger years.

Cher is also joining the star-studded cast as grandmother to Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried – iconic.

The movie will focus on Sophie’s life as she comes to terms with becoming a mum. It will also feature her mum Donna's early years on the island and her complicated love life.

Fans have expressed their concerns about Streep’s role in the movie, with many fearing the actress’ character has died.

However, Amanda Seyfried recently shared, “You do see her. Meryl is very much a part of this movie.”

We are beyond excited to channel our inner dancing queens in July. We’ll be dancing in the aisles of the cinema and singing along to ABBA’s best hits at the top of our lungs.

Yes, a whole decade has passed since Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth donned their 70's glad rags, and we couldn't be more delighted with talks of a second movie.
