We’re currently oh-so in love with tresses that are shaped, styled, and seriously snazzy.

In fact, we’re going to go ahead and say it: there are few feelings better in this world than AMAZING hair.

Yes, that’s because whether your locks are cropped short, or flowing long, when it’s freshly washed, blow-dried, and trimmed just exactly how you like it, you feel you can take on pretty much anything.

What a pity then most folk have also had their fair share of salon disasters. You’re left alone, weeping into a battered, year-old magazine as your hair is assassinated: the colour is wrong; the layers far too choppy; the finish less than fabulous.

It’s no wonder then that women hold dear their favoured hair-dressers, refusing to share their secret with friends and family for fear they’ll never again get an appointment.

Well, at least SHEmazing! is happy to part with one particularly coveted tip for the top: namely Zero One in Greystones Co Wicklow.

It hasn’t been open long – but it’s already garnering a reputation for being one of the best in the business.

For one thing, the Zero One Facebook page is overrun with incredible hair transformations – that and it has a team of talented stylists who are passionate about everything from a wash and blow-dry to a full set of hair extensions.

It does clip-ins too for those not wanting to take the plunge, and the colourists in situ (the salon uses the celebrated Aveda range) are nothing short of top-notch.

Top model Madeleine McQueen is a regular in Zero One, as is Ultimo founder Michelle Mone. Then there’s the host of beauty bloggers and industry insiders that are always stopping-by.

We particularly love the little added extras and luxuries that make you go “yes please!” Like a conditioning treatment and head massage for tenner, or an expert blowdry for €18 every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Students get ten percent off everything, and everyone gets five percent back via Zero One’s loyalty card scheme.

It has also just launched its brand-new, spruced-up website – zeroonesalon.ie – which boasts a loads of gorgeous, hairspiration snaps.

Alternatively, you can check out all those all those on fleek hair transformations on its Facebook page.

Irish model Madeline is certainly on our hot list for red carpet style.

When she toured the world with her actor beau, Jack Reynor, for the Transformers movie premieres, she blew us away with her unique style – all of which came from Irish designers.

But this week, she really turned the style stakes up a notch when she donned the Scottish red carpet for the premiere of Macbeth

Wearing a couture black gown, with a statement high neck line and feathered bottom, Madeline wowed onlookers with her dress.

But it's not the first time you've seen the 25-year-old in this designer.

In June of this year, the Limerick beauty was on-hand to model a stunning bridal gown by Jennifer Young as part of the National Tailoring Academy's graduate showcase.

And as Madeline wrote on her Instagram page, after graduation, Jennifer asked Madeline to be her model for her first collection – and this black dress is one of her creations.

"Seriously blown away by Jennifer Young's tailoring! I was Jennifer's model for her final show piece with the @national_tailoring_academy. (If you remember that amazing wedding dress with her statement high neckline)."

"After graduating she asked me to be her model for her first collection. Jennifer hails from Scotland and for the Scottish premiere of Macbeth, I was so happy to wear her first masterpiece."

And we're so happy you did too Madeline, because you look ah-mazing!

While London usually nabs all the best and biggest movie events – a host of stars went north to Edinburgh yesterday for the glitzy, red-carpet premiere of Macbeth.

Unsurprisingly, handsome Irish lads Michael Fassbender and Jack Reynor were suited and booted, looking particularly dapper for the occasion.

However, (and while yes, we're certainly impressed with the film's leading males), it has to be noted that Jack's model fiancee very possibly stole the show.

Donning a dramatic fur and leather collared gown, Madeline Mulqueen, 25, ensured that all eyes were on her as she posed up for the waiting photographers.

Earlier in the day the Limerick-native had taken to Instagram to share a snap of her stunning red-carpet make-up.

Then last night she shared a second adorable picture of her and Jack, 23, gazing at one-another along with the caption: "Couldn't be more proud of this man."

Meanwhile, speaking to the waiting media, Kerryman Mr Fassbender revealed that he was delighted to be in Scotland: "We were lucky enough to film a bit up here and I was here in 2006 doing a play at the Fringe Festival so I love being back.

"I love the city – its architecture and the really great people," he added.

Earlier in the day, Michael, Jack and the rest of the Macbeth cast – which includes Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth, and The Great Gatsby’s Elizabeth Debicki as Lady Macduff – had stepped out for a photo call at Edinburgh Castle.

Last week, Mr Reynor, who plays Malcolm in the movie, revealed: "I don't have a huge role in this film, but it was great to just be on that set and observe these incredible actors," he said, in particular referring to 38-year-old Mr Fassbender.

"Michael has got great charisma and he's a brilliant actor. We had some great career conversations, and he's certainly full of great advice.

"I'm looking forward to grabbing a pint with him soon."

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen the Limerick model on the runway, but that hasn’t stopped Madeline Mulqueen getting back to her roots this week.

The 24-year-old was on-hand to don a stunning bridal gown as part of the National Tailoring Academy's spectacular graduate showcase.

While it seems a low-key lifestyle is Madeline’s preferred choice, the gig certainly marks a change from the events we’ve grown used to seeing her and her Hollywood actor fiancé attend.

Certainly, the model and her 23-year-old beau Jack Raynor have been particularly prolific on the red-carpet recently.

The pair are, for example, only just back from the Cannes Film Festival. While there, Madeline also made us green with envy posting a photo of the their stunning view of the French Riviera on Twitter.

Ms Mulqueen has been on home-soil since the beginning of the month, being spotted at a handful of exclusive events in the capital. She also returned to Limerick earlier this week for some down-time.

The wedding dress she wore today was designed by the talented Jennifer Young, who was the recipient of the Excellence In Craftsmanship accolade for her striking Serenade bridal collection.

A ratings battle is ahead for TV3 and RTÉ, but who will come out on top?

Rumours of a new RTÉ entertainment show have been widely circulated this week, and though nothing has been confirmed by the national broadcaster as yet, it sounds like TV3's Xposé could have a hard time ahead.

The new show, named Bounce, has reportedly been commissioned by RTÉ for next season and will feature Nadia Forde and Madeline Mulqueen at the helm along with Voice of Ireland host Eoghan McDermott.

Bounce will also apparently feature red carpet coverage from London and even LA with the help of former RTÉ TWO Elev8 presenter Diana Bunici, and model Roz Lipsett.

Diana recently relocated to London

The show is set to air at least twice a week and it's thought the pilot episode could be filmed as soon as next month.

As currently the only live Irish entertainment show airing in the 6pm – 7pm time slot, Xposé has long been one of TV3's most successful outputs, but it's remains to be seen how it will fare with another Irish competitor offering a similar show.

TV3 was already forced to revamp its entire evening schedule when UTV Ireland launched at the beginning of this year, taking with it Coronation Street and Emmerdale as well as exclusive rights to The Graham Norton Show.

Despite the hype, Xposé presenter Lisa Cannon says the team are "not worried at all" about Bounce's effect on ratings.

"It’s always been on the cards that it was going to happen," she told Evoke.ie. "Xposé is well established and has been at the forefront of entertainment for the guts of a decade, so I certainly don’t think that will change."

This is not the first time RTÉ have launched a live show in direct competition with one of TV3's offerings. Back in 2013, Morning Edition was launched during the same time slot as TV3's long-running show Ireland AM, but it was cancelled late last year.

So does Bounce stand a chance? We'll have to wait and see…
