lip colours

While we have all been obsessing over smoky eye tutorials and spending silly amounts of time attempting to ensure absolute symmetry when it comes to our winged eyeliner; other makeup aficionados have been going down a different route.

Instead of dedicating their beauty routines to dark liner and  the same four shades of beige to dark brown shadows, more beauty bloggers are creating more unique looks and we love it. Try a lighter take on the ‘smoky eye’

If you can’t part with the precious cat eye, add a second colour for some variety:

Embrace all of the pastels:

Or maybe spend less time on the eye makeup and go for a bold ruby lip instead:

The weather might still be grey and dull (get a grip, April), but that doesn't mean your make-up bag can't get a shake up for spring.

We've rounded up some of our favourite lip colours for this season, from classic corals to bold reds and pinks.

Here are just some of the shades on our spring wish list…

1. Bold Fuchsia Pink
It's feminine with a grungy edge and is perfect if you're looking to vamp up your look without going too dramatic. MAC is always our pick for bold colours –  it's lipstick heaven!

2. Flirty Coral
Get into the spirit of spring with a creamy coral lipstick. If you have pale skin be sure to brush on some bronzer, as orange-toned lipsticks look best with sallow or olive-toned skin.

3. Dusky Bronze
Think a classic nude lip but with a metallic shine – the perfect day-to-night shade.
