Last night, Irish TV audiences feasted their eyes on one of the most talked about programmes to hit our screens this year.

TV3's Living With Lucy, follows presenter, Lucy Kennedy, as she moves into the homes of various celebrities and public figures for a weekend, and this week's guest may have been the most controversial yet – Katie Hopkins.

Famous for her unpopular opinions, Katie Hopkins has no qualms about sharing her strong views with the world.

And rather than brush that under the carpet, Lucy challenged some of her controversial comments and even called her an “absolute b*itch” while discussing her tweets over dinner.

But it wasn't all insults and name calling (she was living in the woman's house after all) – the pair actually managed to find common ground on a number of topics including marriage and motherhood.

The show was full of ups and downs, and many viewers took to Twitter to admit they had changed their mind about the 'most hated woman in Britain' – though not everyone was converted.

Here's how audiences reacted:

An online petition is gaining traction today, ahead of tonight's airing of an episode of Lucy Kennedy's Living with Lucy, featuring Katie Hopkins.

The petition is aimed towards TV3, asking the broadcaster not to air the episode.

Lucy Kennedy and TV3 faced criticism for choosing Katie for the episode, due to her controversial opinions.

'Katie Hopkins actively promotes hate and racism and TV3 should not give her a platform for her hateful and outrageous views,' claims the petition.

'TV3 must ensure that her views are not normalised.'

The petition so far has 798 of 800 signatures.

'Racism and hate speech is dangerous and legitimises and provokes hate crime,' reads the petition manifesto.

'Programmes such as Living With Lucy are designed not to critique or analyse the views of guests but to increase their popularity and familiarity with the general public.'

Katie Hopkins has called out the creator of the petition on Twitter.

A teaser trailer has also been released by TV3 ahead of the episode airing tonight, which shows Katie and Lucy in a disagreement.

The episode is scheduled to air on TV3 at 10pm tonight.

TV3 has not yet responded to the petition.

Piers Morgan is at it again.

Himself and Amber Rose have been having a go at each other on Twitter after the US model posted a half-naked photo of herself on Instagram.

The 33-year-old shared the image on social media, in which she showed her pubic hair, in a effort to encourage women to embrace their bodies.

However, it seems not everyone is a fan of the natural look, and of course Piers had to have his say.

Replying to Amber's post, the journalist urged her to “put it away, luv”- a message which in turn prompted a huge response of its own.

The model then replied using the hashtag "#IllTakeThingsMisogynisticAssholesSayfor500Alex", and thus an all out Twitter spat was created.

The pair never did resolve the row, and what's more, Katie Hopkins just had to get involved in the action.

Can't we all just get along?

Katie Hopkins has been sacked by LBC radio with immediate effect.

The announcement comes after the journalist posted a tweet saying that a ''final solution'' is needed following the tragic Manchester terror attack.

The wording of the tweet proved to be highly controversial with many suggesting she was referring to the Nazis' plan to for the extermination of the Jews during the second World War.

It read: "22 dead – number rising. Schofield. Don't you even dare. Do not be a part of the problem. We need a final solution #Machester."

Katie said she stood by the comment even after complaints were made to the Metropolitan Police Service.

LBC (Leading Britain's Conversation) is known for it's right-wing discussions, so their decision to let the presenter proves just how insensitive the comment was.

As we know, this isn't the first time Katie has found herself in hot water.

Just last year, The Mail Online was forced to pay  £150,000 to a Muslim family, after she falsely accused them of having extremist links.

Katie has not yet commented on her dismissal.

Katie Hopkins is known for her abrasive personality and controversial views.

The newspaper columnist has previously been reported to police for her comments, and now in the wake of the Manchester attack, the journalist has been reported to the authorities once again.

She was reported to the Metropolitan police for a tweet in which she called for a 'final solution' to the attacks.

The journalist also made a plea on Twitter for 'Western men' to 'rise up' and 'demand action.

She was accused of 'inciting racial hatred' by one Twitter user, who then requested that the police become involved.

'Clearly, certain things I tweet I absolutely accept that words matter,' she said, clarifying her statements to Fox News.

'I said the word 'final solution,' in a tweet, and I would not in any way want to use that term and the inference other people lay on that, what I meant was we need a lasting solution, a resolution,'

'I demand action. I want people to use their anger to say we need to do something to stop this.'

'We need to be deporting these people, deport the people that are hiding them and get amongst this because this is our little girl, our 8-year-old little Saffie that died.'

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan police confirmed to The Guardian that a complaint had been received, adding: 'As is routine, the allegation will be reviewed and assessed by specialist officers.'

Laura Whitmore has been in the centre of the public eye since taking to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.

From rumours flying that she was in a relationship with her dance partner, to her reveal that she thought she was voted off the competition too early, it sure has been a whirlwind.

And now the former MTV presenter has blasted The Late Late Show after controversial journalist Katie Hopkins appeared on the programme last night.

The Irish native took to Twitter to share a note. It read: " I was booked to go on the Late Late Show a year ago to talk about my child sponsorship with Plan Ireland (I’ve sponsored a little girl for six years in the Philippines).

“I had made a trip a month before to raise awareness of the children, specifically females, taken out of school too young to support their families.

“It was cancelled last minute and I was informed the charity had been told by the procure they don’t like doing those ‘charity pieces’.

“It angers me that certain other people who don’t need such a platform are given it to spread negativity and let’s face it absolute nonsense.

“It leaves me with little faith in this world.”

One fan wrote under the picture: “Keep the faith, Laura. You’re a good person and while it might not always seem like it you’re not alone. Big hug.”

Ah, Ryan. You did us proud last night.

Since it was announced that Katie Hopkins had an appearance on the Late Late, basically the entire population protested against it because, well… let's just say she's not exactly our type of person.

With most interviews, it's all about keeping the celeb more-or-less content, but that was far from Ryan's mind last night.

As Katie acted up like she usually does, Tubbers was taking no BS, even going as far as telling her she's acting like a child (which she was).

And the people of Ireland LOVED it:

Fair play Ryan, we love you even more now.

Earlier this week, Katie Hopkins infuriated people across Ireland by revealing that she will be appearing on The Late Late Show this Friday.

News of the controversial columnist’s impending visit led to the submission of letters of complaint to RTÉ and calls for people to boycott the historic chat show on social media.

In an open letter to the national broadcaster, Alan Maguire encouraged The Late Late Show to reconsider its decision to provide a platform for the opinions of a woman who, among other things, has “described refugees as cockroaches”.

Defining Katie as a “dangerous bigot”, Mr Maguire wrote: “It is simply not in the public interest to mainstream the dangerous views of people like Ms Hopkins in order to generate cheap and pointless Twitter outrage.”

“I thought The Late Late Show was better than this,” he continued.  “I believe The Late Late Show should be better than this.”

As expected, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has not taken her critics’ views lightly as she has taken to Twitter to challenge those who oppose her invite.

Replying to Mr Maguire’s tweet, the 41-year-old mother of three fired back: “A dangerous bigot?  I speak my mind.  Regular taxpayers are sick of political correctness and the multicultural mafia.”

In response to similar complaints, Katie wrote: “In my experience lefty lovies are braver behind their sticky keyboards, flossing their teeth with their toenails.”

And: “Ireland.  We voted for Brexit.  America voted for Trump.  Get over it.”

It sounds like Katie is coming with all guns blazing.

Katie Hopkins appeared on Angela Scanlon's Close Encounters, and honestly, it was the best damn thing ever.

Katie was mercilessly slagging off Angela and Ireland, but good ol' Ange had the best responses.

"As the Jesus of the outspoken I think it's important that I spread my messages whilst I'm still here on earth and one of those messages could be, never wear a legging," Katie said, before asking, "If you buy a legging from, say, Marks and Spencers. Do you have Marks and Spencers?"

To which Angela replied, "Yes, we do.  We also have electricity."

The conversation between the two women goes on a bit longer, but the Irish presenter bites back at ALL of Katie's ridiculous statements.

It's brilliant.

Katie Hopkins literally says whatever is on her mind, and this time, YouTube sensation Zoe Sugg is the target of her rant.

The journalist called Zoella – as she is better known – "the s***test of the lot" in a controversail interview with Now magazine.

She claims vloggers like Zoella use the fact that they have been bullied to gain more popularity.

Katie further claims that these famous YouTube faces exaggerate the fact that they get picked on.

Zoella has spoken about being bullied before on her YouTube channel and in her book, Girl Online.

When Katie was asked if she has been bullied she said she has not "but I've heard stories where it's been so hideous for people that they haven't been able to think of any other option than suicide."

"That's when the word should be used, not with all these YouTube vloggers who were once called a t*** at some point in their life and now say they're victims of bullying so that they can resonate with every other teenager in the land.

"They need to get over themselves."

Katie was then asked if she was a fan of Zoella, to which she replied: "No, especially not the whole 'I've been bullied, now watch me put on some make-up I've bought from MAC. Zoella is the s***test of the lot."

She’s one of the most controversial figures in the media – and it looks as if she isn’t going anywhere fast.

Not long after her documentary, My Fat Story which saw Katie gain and lose three stone to prove it can be done, it is rumoured she may be getting her own chat show.

According to a new report, Katie is said to be in talks with TLC, a network owned by the Discovery Network to launch her own show, which will no doubt act as a platform from which she can voice her controversial opinions.

The move comes only a day after Katie deeply offended patients and families of dementia, saying: “ Dementia sufferers should not be blocking beds. What is the point in life when you no longer know you are living it? Bang me over the head.”

Despite an overwhelming majority of people disagreeing with the former Big Brother star on many topics, there is no doubt a Katie Hopkins show would pull in viewers.

Would you tune in?

It's been a brilliant couple of years for Kelly Clarkson – she got married, welcomed her first child and became a mentor on the show that made her famous, American Idol.

Aside from all her successes though, Kelly has had to deal with a barrage of criticism about her weight, and she has revealed she is sick of it being an issue.

Just last month, Kelly was forced to retaliate publicly when the silver-tongued Katie Hopkins lashed out at her for no reason at all, asking Twitter if Kelly had eaten "all of her backing singers":

Ouch. Kelly responded brilliantly at the time, saying, "I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will." All the same, she admitted this week that the comments about her weight have become increasingly upsetting.

Speaking on The Ellen Show, Kelly addressed her haters, saying, "I love how people think that’s new — like, welcome to the past 13 years. Yeah, I was the biggest girl on [American Idol], too. And I wasn’t big, but people would call me big because I was the biggest one on Idol, and I’ve kind of always gotten that.”

Despite her tough attitude, Kelly admitted the comments can be hurtful at times, especially when they come from someone she knows or from a fan.

"Well, it hurts your feelings more if it’s someone else that you like,” she said. “I think what hurts my feelings for people is that I’ll have a meet-and-greet after the show and a girl who’s, like, bigger than me will be in the meet-and-greet and be like, ‘Wow, if they think you’re big, I must be so fat to them.'”

However Kelly says she isn't going to let the negative comments get her down. "We are who we are," she said. "So sometimes I’m more fit and I get into kickboxing hardcore. And then sometimes I don’t, and I’m like… I’d rather have wine."

Holla!
